Really apple? Is this the best you could come up with, same iphone 5? There is no way I am gonna ditch my perfectly working iphone 5 \"s\" for this I\'m about to switch to another os soon if just don\'t at least increase the screen size, c\'mon apple you have all the resources to make an outstanding product, you\'re in a better position now than you were back in 2007 show me something new an exciting!!! This just pathetic for real man!!!

I am no Apple fan, but I too was expecting something new & better. I am disappointed because the Apple iPhone 5S & 5C DEFINITELY won't push the mobile world to anything better.

It seems that in the Android world the innovation is really happening because you got companies like Samsung, Sony, HTC, & the upstarts from China who seem to be pushing the mobile world forward.

+1

The only thing I was truely surprised about was the A7 chip. That was something that the leaks never mentioned about. Yes, it was announced by ARM a few months ago, but Apple was the first to implement it. But everything else was just... eh.

The fingerprint sensor allows for quick unlocking and login into iTunes account and by this time next year I'm sure some manufacturers will try to have fingerprint sensors on their phones. We can be damn sure that they will try incorporating 64-bit chips on their smartphones as well. And also the camera will probably be really good considering the iPhone 5 already takes great pictures.

I'm not sure what you're expecting to push the mobile world forward. Maybe you're want more features like S wave / Eye scroll or maybe you believe HTC's blinkfeed is groundbreaking. I'm just not seeing the innovation that you're seeing.

Most iPhone 5 users will not upgrade to the 5S, but you can bet a ton of iPhone 4S users and Android users will. I don't plan on purchasing but I think they made some good improvements.

With its new pink and purple coloured ios 7 theme and its gold coloured handsets Apple is at risk of losing a lot of what male fan base it has. All those teenage boys will soon start spending their parents money on something else!!

Note 3 it is for me then but I will say the iPhone 5S would be my second choice. They could have improved the camera a bit more, which was what I was hoping. Overall it's a solid device.

yep, this is proof that apple just isn't trying anymore. Can't wait to see their market share and value take the plunge it's been teetering on for so long now.

I'm pretty sure Apple isn't going to lose much of the market. As stagnant as their products maybe to the phone enthusiasts world, they're not going to lose their core buyers who are heavily vested in the ios ecosystem

Dark, I'm rather disappointed with the iPhone 5S. I was debating between this and the Note 3 like you were. To be honest, the Note 3 won. The difference between the 5S and 5 are only the A7 chip and the aperture size of the camera... And the fingerprint sensor of course. If you like the 5S, go for it. It's your hard earned money, do what you want with it. I will admit that the iPhone 5S would be my second choice though.

What are your thoughts about it all?

Another vote for the Note 3. As much as I love Apple, I'm not looking at another iPhone till they up the screen size.

Not blown away, but expected this being an S update. I like the gold one though. Finger print scanner is nice and fast, 2 gigs of ram nice too. All and all a very solid phone, but nothing mind blowing. That said only HTC has wowed me this year with the One, apple and Sammy did just enough to stay at the top. The s4/note 3 were not mind blowing, just very solid next steps. +1 Smurf your input is alway great.
