There you go Hemlocke, i don't need anymore say.
But you'll still defend what you say cause i know you and we've already had this type of conflict before... Like Apple, you won't care what others say or do...you'll just stand where you are, even if it's the sewage, because Apple told you so... Happy Appling!!!

They will release this new mini in 6 months and take all that money from the owners who bought the first one..and the cycle continues unabated. Apple selling you the same thing every 6-12 months and not showing signs of slowing down, yes! At least they are committed no?!?

"We don’t know why Apple did not ship this first generation of the iPad mini with such a display, but our guess would be price."

To get people that bought the OG Mini to upgrade, that's why. Apple's been doing this on a regular basis since 2007, maybe earlier. There should be absolutely no surprise by this tactic. I wrote last week, never buy the first iteration of any Apple product, when the second model is released, you'll get what the OG should have had.

"People love the form factor
and build quality of the Mini. It is a hit." How many times have you people been saying that??
You might as well say "People love the form factor
and build quality of the iP5. It is a hit."
You know what it sounds like? A CLICHÉ!
As boring as the iPads and iPhones can get.
And by the way, are you saying that those iPad and iPhone designs are the best that Apple can come up with? You definitely sound so...
P.S. Those thumbs down are not mine, don't believe me? Check my finger-print.

Another reason why not to get the ipad mini!. This 2nd will be way too expensive for average consumers. Apple seems to think that everyone on earth is rich so they just have to charge their products so freaken high. Guess we aren't all that rich Apple. Lower the prices to 200 but Apple won't b/c they don't give a crap about us lower class consumers. They think they are all that.

Apple is smart..this is their tactic from the start with the launch of a low balled mini with the lowest resolution out on any 7 in tab and a two year old processor. if they would have put a a6 and retina display..then you would have never seen a mini 2 3 or 4...not much room for improvement if the original mini woule have launched with those specs and for 329 it should have....i saw a 99 htx yes x android tablet in walmart with a faster processor and better screen than the mini....go figure...but the mini2 will still get ahhhs and yahhhhs as if it were new technology or somethingbunheard of

I guess we can say bye to yearly upgrades on iPads, looks like they'll be releasing them twice a year. Who knows if they'll start doing the same for iPhones.

Which is good imo since you don't have to wait a whole year to get the latest tech, similar to Android's approach.

The reason Apple didn't release this screen resolution on their first iPad mini was so that they will have something to upgrade to for the next generation.

For all of that talk awhile back about Apple trying to be green, they aren't really backing it up. Changing the charging port to something that's still proprietary, while the old stuff most likely ends up in the dump. Person buys the new model with the incremental upgrade, the old model gets traded or sold, the next person gets their old one, and maybe dumps their older one, etc, etc. And the difference between the 2 models is fairly negligible.

These companies that do this crap are getting as bad as the ones who pollute the air. Why not put out something that has all the tech available at the time, sell it for a longer period before introducing a new model, and keep more customers happy. In some of these cases it's almost like they're double billing them.

Not even two weeks on the market and there's already talk of the next generation of iPad mini...if Apple controlled the way generations are created, people would be having children by the age of 1, those children would be parents within a year, and high schools all over the country would be filled with great-great-great-great-great grandparents...probably further than that.

Seriously, Apple didn't even make a big impact with the first iPad mini, so what makes them think the second one will be any better? By the time it hits shelves, we'll have at least half a dozen new tablets, and they'll all be far superior. On top of that, Apple is more in the news for their stupid patent lawsuits than their supposedly innovative products. If they continue down this path of senseless litigation and lack of creativity with their products, Apple will surely die a slow, painful death.

Retina displays are BORING now! ! Bring SOMETHING new PLEASE.
Since the iPhone 4, all Apple has been doing is bumping its products specs, but nothing new or innovated has come out in a long time.

then the price will be double! thats why if i buy an iDevice especially the new product that they announce, i'll wait for next year coz the first generation doesnt deserve its price! the original iPad, the iPhone is very pricey...they dont even have the camera! so buying the first generation iPad mini of that price (330! thats too much, not even HD) is a suicide! so buying next next year will be a good idea...but if you want to have a portable device, better yet buy a nexus 7 or a BlackBerry PlayBook(one apple-centric site, imore.com said that playbook is the best tablet to buy under $200 specially thats its only $149 now!)...

nexus 7 coz its the best android tablet that google can offer and it will have tons of apps!

playbook coz a very premium device and worth more than its price! an has dual camera, and upgradable to BB10.. can run android apps!
