Please explain why they keep saying "the ipad air" when the picture presented as evidence is clearly not the picture of the newly redesigned - with much narrower bezels - ipad. If I had to guess, I would say it is an ipad 2.

Since it's an authorized retailer, I'm 100% sure they were using the licensed Apple charger. I'd love to find out the cause of the explosion.

Hey, don't blame Apple for the explosion, it's the store's fault for having on display the wrong way.

By the vay, do you guys know if it was able to get in one last iTunes sync before its untiMely demise??

It would be so funny if that incident starts a huge recall on all Ipad Air because they are too small and can't take the heat of being constantly plugged in ( as demos are in store ).

or because the paint used on their aluminium body is flamable.

trickster_qc - actually after reading this article - I dunno if the iPad Air can take the heat - but it can definitely deliver it. :P

Wait, didn't Steve Jobs said once that he's willing to go thermonuclear on his war on Android? I think he just did.

The iPad probably sensed the presence of Android devices within the vicinity and BOOM!

But, but, but... unchallenged build quality with premium aluminium unibody that really feels great in hand! As longs you still have your hands after using the iPad Air, of course.
