Apple iPad and iPhone users beat Android fans in the Black Friday online shopping game

0. phoneArena 02 Dec 2013, 09:26 posted on

Both IBM and Adobe have independently revealed their Black Friday online shopping trackers, and it seems that iOS users are the biggest consumers this year. Despite that Google's Android increased its market share in the US this year, relative to Apple's iOS, it turns out that iOS users shopped much more than the average green robot fan...

Water is not wet, and the sky isn't blue. Do your research.

Semantics. By widely established conventional agreement that the sky is a thing (it's not really), and that colorless (relatively) gasses disperse light such that we see blue in the sky, yes the sky is blue. To argue otherwise is a pretentious semantical argument. I'm a physicist, but not even I will point out the scientifically incorrect nature of conventional thought and sayings... because I understand the underlying meaning.

iOs users wait the hole year for a bargain to purchase, whats free and much less to pay on Android than iOs.

It still equates the same, cause iOs apps are always much dearer than Android apps. Even worse is WP8, they are way expensive than iOs apps: rip off, is WP8.

End of the day, iOs users look for bargains, than Android, WP8 users...

No man, end of the dey, ios users buy more on their devices than android or wp... the rest is up to you to imagine whatever you want, based on no facts...

Android products are with bigger discount (cheaper or even free on BF), That's why iFans leave more money there.
Don't forget that Android devices have many discounts whole the year, but Apple don't give many other discount options to their fans.
Let's see now January , February, March.....what will sell Apple? LOL.

I agree with you about the discounts, but this survey is not about which OS is the most bought on BF, it is about using the device to shop(don´t matter what it is). And it show that ios users buy more products using it's devices, than android users.

the fun thing is that most iOS users probably used their apple gear to buy loads of stuff but none of it was apple stuff, since the deals and promotion ongoing for black friday were disappointing at best.

Android users shop from PC devices too.
They are normal ppl and don't like to stay on line, to show their loyality to some brand.
And Android products are with bigger discount (cheaper or even free on BF), That's why iFans leave more money there.
Don't forget that Android devices have many discounts whole the year, but Apple don't give many other discount options to their fans.
And the last , but not least- don't forget that we are talking about U.S. here. Where ppl think that Apple(China) is american company, but Android is from Asia. LOL.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I did all my shopping at the stores once I got off of work, not through my phone or tablet.

Kind of a stupid article. Just saying.

It's an iArticle.

android gain x% of market share = facts & win!

iphone users spend more during promotion = iarticle, stupid article, lose!

Second of all, my comment is completely valid. Did you not go outside from Nov 27-30?

I'm with you Smurf. I did most of my research through my Note 2, then went out to the store. I got a few things through my phone but not much.

I must admit, I'm more of the last second brick n mortar, I hate shopping type shopper. My wife dragged me out this past wknd, and I hated every single second of it. Then to top it off, I get him to find out Michigan lost to OSU by 1 point. :(

Lol, I'm a bargin HUNTER! So I look for good deals then re check for better deals later on, just in case there are a few bucks to be saved. My wife hates it because I'll go to 4 or 5 stores before I make my final decision.

I think it's because most android tablets are given to kids and kids don't shop. I'm an Apple fan and I would even by a cheap android tablet for my kid. A teenager yes, but not a kid.

You can calculate the numbers any way to make any side be the winner. For instance, since there are way more Android users than iOS users, Android users spend more in total thaniOS users.

If I'm at home I do all my shopping on my Windows laptop. If I'm not near my laptop than I'll use my phone or tablet.
