Let me make it clear first up that Iam NOT a fanboy. I have my own views & I respect the views of others. Everyone has the right to buy whatever they want to (i mean phones & platforms) without having to hear s**t from others.

But as technology lovers decent debate whete other points of view are respected do no harm to anybody. To that end Mr.Sauce & Mr.Darkjedii I have a simple question. Support for 3rd party keyboards, limited support for widgets & wifi calling are welcome new features. But have these features not been common to Android users for a few years now. And even then they are limited - why support for only 3rd party keyboards & not a whole lot of other apps?

Opening up of Touch ID to developers opens up a whole range of possibilities & credit must be given to Apple. But on a pure OS to OS comparison, IOS was 4 years behind Android till now. IOS 8 is sstill 2 years behind. What about true multitasking whete I can have 4 & even more screens open simultaneously & view them & work on them all at once.

Apple needs to stops making petty litigation over the smallest of things and realise everyone copies everyone and that very idea showed today. Plenty of stuff apple have added finally that has been on Android for ages and that's great for ios users, it will just push Google to make Android even better but if your happy to copy others you can't be upset when others copy you..

Looks like a pretty good update. Nothing to sway me from android really but definitely a good catch up with features. I still don't like that the home screen is just the list of apps.. Still prefer WP and Android in that aspect

Apple is STILL playing catchup with android but at least it is the right kind of catchup. They decided to focus on tangible features rather than stupid cosmetic updates and useless things like passbook. However, apple should have just made this 7.5 or something and released something even bigger for 8 which was supposed to be their next leap forward. Unfortunately, android will widen the gap if apple decided to wait a year before releasing IOS 9

Every year Apple puts out a update all they are doing is copying Android. and the silly darkjedi and other zombies praise Apple for being creative. How come the past few years when Apple couldnt do this you guys all said there is no reason for this stuff that android does. I remember you all saying " Yeah so what Android can have 3rd party keyboards. Apple doesnt need them cause their keyboard is perfect." Now that apple has them your all excited and praising Apple. Damn fools

i got yosemite on my macbook since this morning. there are few bugs, but all in all looks cool, looks like battery life is bit better. i use macbook only for work, like emails simple documents facebook, all hardcore productivity i do on my monster pc, because there are no productivity on any macbook. so i used every day m8, from today i started to use iphone 5s, will se how long it will be, now i like it, because i dont do gaming, and other bs. basically i get tired of that huge phone in my pocket. hopefully battery will be at least one day on iphone. so later on today i downloaded ios8 for iphone looked almost same, airdrop newer worked, there was some extra bs like sport stuff i helth or something. basically they said it will be something wow, but its not. so after i restardted phone they blocked me, because phone tried to register it self. so now i am bac on ios7. so all in all they say it will be awesome lalala, its same more or less just some bs usual ppl dont use.

"Apple iOS 8, the biggest update since the App Store roll-out" This proves without doubt that IOS 7 was far, far behind Android, as the majority of the new features are copied from it and its such a big update. Now fairly compare IOS 8 with KitKat and you will still see a big difference and with new announcements on Android coming soon that gap will widen even further.

When will the extreme iPhone fans and biased reviewers stop hiding behind the truth and outdated stupid comments and start pushing Apple to produce the best phones and operating system, instead of being them being happy with mediocrity.
