Apple fans step up in Russia unveiling interactive iPhone 5-shaped memorial to Steve Jobs

0. phoneArena 11 Jan 2013, 11:32 posted on

2013 will go down as the year that Apple did its best to steal coverage from CES (although the company does try to sneak in some rumors every year.) We've already had the saga of the "cheap iPhone", which won't go away, and now the Apple faithful are joining in to help by unveiling an interactive iPhone 5-shaped memorial to Steve Jobs in St. Petersburg, Russia...

How am I trolling? I'm trying to say people need to start respecting opinions and I said it more rude than I should've and for that I apologize.

I didn't use quotes, so it was paraphrasing. Either way, it's just a word, and you know what? It's an accurate word. Too many people here don't give a f--- about the opinions of others. If you get stuck on that one word, you miss the important message.

I'm actually a huge fan of Steve. And yes - I hate Apple with passion.

Don't these two contradict themselves you may ask? No.

Back at the day - Apple was all about innovation. Steve believed in the closed ecosystem, yes, however - he managed Apple with passion. It was obvious he wasn't doing it for money. He was doing it because he thought it was right.

Tim however has turned Apple into nothing more than a hyper greedy dominate-all tech company. He wants only one thing - money. Not saying that Steve didn't want money as well - it's just that he truly believed that what he was doing was something great.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs. Without you, Android probably wouldn't be as popular today as it is now. :)

Respect to you for even though being a huge android fan, you see everything for how it really is instead of just mindlessly commenting acting like you took personal offense from the article. Kudos to you ^_^

Like it or not, Google, Microsoft, apple, Samsung, etc. are ALL doing it for money. They're not running a business to make the world a better place, they want money in the end.

I read his biography book. Let's just say that he wasn't doing it purely for the money.

Pathetic really. Just another reason I'm glad I despise Apple and Jobs too. Also since SJ did SO much for tech...precisely what did he invent or innovate that was so world shattering?

Didn't invent anything, but he changed the way people used PCs, changed how music was distributed digitally, pushed computer animation to overtake hand-drawn animation, and pushed the mobile world towards the smartphones and tablets we use today.

You don't have to like the man, you don't have to like Apple, but you can't argue the impact they have had.

How about Lincoln? Oh he freed the slaves so nothing from anyone else besides us real Americans. How about bill gates? Oh they only helped bail out Apple in their desperate time. How about.......you know what......I'm going to stop because its only going to anger people who don't know what real American or non American people have done around the world. There were phones well before apple and the iPhone. How about this.....THANK YOU MOTOROLA FOR BRINGING US THE 1ST CELL PHONE. Now THATS A REAL COMPANY TO THANK FOR ITS INVENTION THAT IS USED AROUND THE WORLD.

And thank you LG for bringing us the first touchscreen smart phone, which was promptly copied and passed off as their own invention by apple.
