Wow.. a patent from 1995? Seriously? What's next? You're going to sue everyone because they use plastic - something which was patented - by Apple of course - in the 1800s? Why not just sue everyone because they use matter? Matter existed since 2,000,000,000 BC. And of course Apple created it.

lol, they make so much noise. Whining and crying isn't going to change anything. And to be honest, I kind of agree with some of these suits (not all of them of course). Like that web browser bounce effect that Samsung put on their devices.....total rip. Those white dots at the very bottom of the applications list, even though I know is very general/minimal, is still very iPhone-esque. And also to take a screen shot, you push the home button and the power button......very iPhone-like too. And pinch/zoom (not multitouch in general).....they should have won that.

I can understand wanting to incorporate things like a market, multitouch, etc in your OS, but having companies copy those nitty gritty details must be annoying.

I suspect Apple will find that at least 2 of the new 'power' patents are invalid.... Lets see how they do at convincing the judge to grant a restraining order. Personally, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the restraining order to be granted.

No restraining order - life goes on. Meanwhile, the attorneys are billing at $750/hour.

with apple's pile of cash, am sure they can afford to pay those lawyers. If only they would just give all that money to charity instead of wasting it on lawyers.

"...U.S. Patent No. 6,847,959 for a "universal interface for retrieval of information in a computer system"

Universal? Doesn't get much more overly broad than that does it?

How long are they going to try o beat others down using patents that they filed over already existing systems?
Apple... this is just just sad.

Its just about time that apple goes and f*cks off.
The mindless ifan drones out there keep asking why theres so much 'hating' of apple,,this article explains exactly why.

I'd also request that phonearena stop these publishing these articles as its the same stupid childish nonsense from apple time after time after time.

It clear Apple is not suing Samsung, but Android.
