0. phoneArena 24 Oct 2012, 10:53 posted on

Some potential buyers of the new Apple iPad mini are a little turned off by the $329 price for the entry-level version of Apple's 7.9 inch tablet; the competition in the form of low-priced 7 inch Android models are tagged at $199.99...

And btw, saying how Nexus 7 is a bigger version of GNex, in that sense iPad is just a bigger version of iPhone. Do you own an iPhone too?

The only reason apple is a bad company is because they overcharged on all their products and use words like "premium" to justified it.

Limited OS with deceit Specs and Quality material.

Just compare with a phone like the LG G
iPhone5 32GB $750
vs
LG Optimistic G 32GB or more $550
AT&T Prices

Dont support a company thats all about maximum profit

I like that you're differentiating your gadgets throughout different platforms.
The Galaxy S3 is a great device.
But If budget is not your concern, I think you're better off with the iPad4 instead of iPad Mini due to it's having dated specs.

"Failed miserably" Really? Haven't they heard about the Nexus 7, oh wait they have, they compared their mini to it. Apple is in for the money and nothing else, so their reasoning behind the price is pure BS.

It's only greed.........the price doesn't have to be that high. Apple continues to get fat from profits and doesn't seem to give and price considerations to it's customers. It's very sad Apple is like that and people for some reason still buy their products which in turn supports their greedy culture!

"Others have tried to make tablets smaller than the iPad and they've failed miserably. These are not great experiences"
The Nexus 7 seemed pretty great to me, stop lying to people.

Apple knows if people will pay hundreds of dollars for their products, they can charge whatever they want and people will still buy it.

You know, as much as parodies of Apple execs have them declaring "we can charge what we want and you assholes would pay it," I never expected one to actually say it for real.

What a douche. There's something extremely creepy about that man, I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is about him, though he is still a huge douche. iFAIL price for an iFAIL device.

$299 so a little over priced but worth it

And there you have it, directly from an Apple exec, people will buy it regardless of the price. They know their customer base and they know they can do just about anything and still get the sales. Perfect example of herd mentality.

It doesn't really matter. Apple is going to sell a boatload of them anyway. Personally, I prefer the Nexus.

Not a Apple hater, $329 for the ipad mini, $299 for the ipod touch is crazy. My kindle fire plays flash. Which is still important so the mini was never on my radar. I wanted to replace my old ipod touch, but not at $299. I thought the sweet spot was suppose to be $199. Apple did not get the memo.

Oh they got the memo alright. They just like to go outside the memo because, as the guy stated, people will buy it anyway.

when you create a successful company like Apple you set your prices. either people buy them or not .. that simple.. for the people that want to pay for Apple products is my money and I can dam well buy what I wants why the hate.. go ahead buy the cheap N7 tablet. that tablet will be forgotten in less than year just like all other Android products..

well that argument no longer flies chicken head. Apple just released the iPad3, now they are releasing a 4th. They are putting downward pressure on their own ecosystem and devaluing their own products.. a long held line of stupidity by iNuts. Apparently now, even overpaying massive profit margins for a product cant even keep its value up nor its spot on the shelf.

Your just paying more. Your not getting more.

hmm paying more.. lets see people that bought the Bionic. no JB people that bought a Galaxy tab. who remembers those doubt Samsung will support any of those devices.. those feel robbed of their hard earn money but people that bought the ipad 3 even the ipad2 like my brother are still happy... but you wouldn't understand of customer being satisfied. you are Android.. the land of the free and forgotten.
