Always looking to reinvent itself and take things to the next level, Apple is apparently working on an “active packaging” ...

how about they work on their product and less on the packaging... I think the UI is pretty, but the functionality blows... fix it before you try and make a "prettier" box... for the love of god, who cares what the box looks like.

Next time read the article Kiltlifter. This isn't about making the box prettier. Its about making it easier to charge the phone and keep the phone updated if it ends up being stored for a while. I actually don't support this because it might cost more for shipping and the price for the phone might increase a little. But it is still a great idea. I've read your comments and its pretty apparent that you just hate the iphone. I think its so annoying when people just come on to an article just to make a negative remark. Please find a new hobby. And I really don't understand what you mean by the functionality blows. It works perfectly for me, but maybe you see something that I don't.

Well, E.N. it's pretty apparant (from your previous posts on this site) that you molest your iphone, so don't go around pointing fingers at someone for their opinions. Why don't you check out this article about your wonder phone. It's not quite as perfect as you always make it out to be. http://www.engadget.com/2009/0
7/02/apple-patching-nasty-iphone-sms-vulnerability/Maybe it's things like this that Kiltlifter might be addressing in regards to functionality. Apple desperately wants to say it's phone is "secure" but c'mon, what a joke! You want security? Get a BB people.

Maybe that is what he was referring to when he mentioned functionality (even though I dont know how security is considered a functionality) but that is the problem, no one is ever specific. I hear criticism left and right but no one is actually saying anything. Last time I asked people what was wrong with the phone and hardly anyone said anything. And the only thing you came up with was service. And secondly, saying that "I dont agree with this because it might cost more" or "All of them are pretty weird except for the first" doesn't really sound like I molest or glorify my Iphone. I've not once said that the iPhone was the best phone but Ive always said it was the best phone for me. But if you're referring to something specific feel free to quote me. You might want to reread my previous posts and reread this article because you seem to have problems comprehending the comments you read (I don't recall ever glorify my phone) and staying on topic (not that the news about SMS wasn't interesting). And regarding other phones, If I have something negative to say, I will say it. If I have something positive to say, I will do likewise. But you don't see me going to every blackberry article saying that blackberrys suck and are boring. And I'm expecting a reply considering how 8 of your last 10 comments were iPhone based. And don't you have a blackberry? Someone new to this site would never guess because of your obsession with the iPhone.

Uh this means there is a chance for security flaw for god sake, i.e. I would update cracked OS with malwares in it how nice to know about that, I think I'll stay away from iPhone if Apple does that.
