Yeah, because no competition is great for consumers.....

71. cptbeatstix posted on 24 Jul 2012, 18:59 2

That's Apple's view on it.

39. yowanvista posted on 24 Jul 2012, 15:30 4

Apple is a patent whore. They get patents for technology that is already implemented, claim it as their own invention, and then sue people who are using it. Much like slide to unlock, multitouch and others. Steve Jobs himself said that they invented multitouch. So pathetic.

45. cptbeatstix posted on 24 Jul 2012, 15:42 1

The thing is, Apple has a lot of vague patents that are somewhat similar to say multitouch for instance. The downside to this is that patent law in the US is garbage. Hence why Apple just keeps suing for the most mundane issues. It's like a child crying to daddy saying another kid pushed him when the other kid accidently bumped into him.

First apple must publish in all newspapers and 6 months on its website that they are just the biggest shame of industry and business

41. smartphonemad posted on 24 Jul 2012, 15:35 3

All this crap from apple has completely put me off buying any of their products

44. InspectorGadget80 posted on 24 Jul 2012, 15:39 3

Now this to show you ifans how GREEDY APPLE Is now their asking money from SAMSUNG.

46. cptbeatstix posted on 24 Jul 2012, 15:43 1

Not that you're completely wrong, but the whole intent for Apple suing is pretty much based around getting money. They did say they want to be the first Trillion dollar company. Sadly, they are very close.

88. InspectorGadget80 posted on 25 Jul 2012, 19:55

actually YOU'RE wrong. When they see that Samsung sold now 10 million SG III they see their stock dip a few points. now their ANGRY that Samsung took some of their consumers to see how much MORE you can do with the GS III. but Apple don't care they would FORCE or STOP SAMSUNG or anyone from making phones. Samsung is the top Android manufactuere

49. narutoban posted on 24 Jul 2012, 15:53 1

Apple needed the money to pay for taxes so they can bring their money from overseas back to United States. hahaha

51. lauremar posted on 24 Jul 2012, 16:16 5

From Wikipedia... "Greed is the inordinate desire to possess wealth, goods, or objects of abstract value with the intention to keep it for one's self, far beyond the dictates of basic survival and comfort. It is applied to a markedly high desire for and pursuit of wealth, status, and power."

A perfect interpretation of Apple as a company.

over my dead body.apple is big peace of s*it,that what they are, galaxy line copy iPhone ,whats next Galaxy Note 10.1 also copied i pad.

54. matrix_neo posted on 24 Jul 2012, 16:32 3

We all know samsung is apple's main supplier before, suing samsung is only way for them to refund the money they paid to samsung. They have already billions of money, yet they don't want to spend it, instead they keep earning it by suing and setting high prizes for their crap devices.

Apple is of the most admired company?! LOL it's the most hated company now....

55. bustervic posted on 24 Jul 2012, 16:35 3

Apples greed knows no bounds. Does anyone else think that a patent for "overbounce" scrolling is just ridiculous?
This is really anti-competitive and the courts ruling should consider the market and consumers.

60. networkdood posted on 24 Jul 2012, 18:08 4

Well, they did sell 10 million less iphones than before and they also having to sell other iphones for much less to attract buyers...poor APPLE, they only made 8 billion dollars in the quarter last quarter.....boo hooooo

70. RORYREVOLUTION posted on 24 Jul 2012, 18:41 4

It's funny how PhoneArena in general compares the Galaxy S series to the iPhone. They always talk about how "cheap, plastic feeling" the Galaxy S feels but yet the iPhone feels expensive and solid in hand. And Apple wants to sue for "feeling". So are they trying to say their iphones feel and look cheap too?

73. androiddownsouth posted on 24 Jul 2012, 19:20 4

I'm done. Only way I'll ever sell another piece of rotten Apple device is if that is the only possible item a customer will buy. I've talked many customers into Androids which they wind up loving, and I'll do it even harder now.

This is beyond the pale of greed and ridiculousness. These two devices look and feel NOTHING alike. I don't know anyone who thinks they are similar, no coworkers, no customers, no one.

Based on rotten Apple's current behavior, I can't help but think that the next iFail will wind up falling short of the Samsung, HTC, and Motorola Android devices and Windows Phone 8 devices this fall. They seem extremely desperate and scared. Why else engage in so much litigation all over the world over dumb stuff like "slide to unlock" etc.

Ridiculous........

75. ricodroid posted on 24 Jul 2012, 19:46 2

i think Apple should shut the **** up .. you know why? cause first .. Samsung Phones doesnt copy the feel of I Phone ... as much as other handsets from other companies do .. its very relevant that Apple is targeting the company that is making the most sales ... not the one that supposedly infringed the copyright ...
second .. if any company in the world would deserve compensation of such situation .. then hell .. Microsoft should sew apple for copying their user interface .. every automobile company should sew the other for copying the transmission and breaks .. and WTF would we consider this farce ????

they just lost some sales and so they try to get it through some other ways .. get over it Apple ... get your sales by what you offer to users ... and dont be F****** demanding much when you dont offer S***

76. OSUTIN posted on 24 Jul 2012, 20:27 1

It's funny... There are at least 2 -- sorry, make that 3 things that will make Apple back off into it's corner: 1. Android Manufacturers banding together, at least temporarily. 2. The people actually acting, in protest, until Apple stops or fears to much profit loss. 3. The US legal system getting a backbone, and also fixing the problems with the current copyright system.

80. BiN4RY posted on 24 Jul 2012, 22:19 2

"The Cupertino based firm said it has lost $500 million in profits itself from Samsung's alleged patent infringements."

Perhaps it's time to do a reality check and understand that your products are just straight up terrible?

81. groupsacc posted on 25 Jul 2012, 02:28 1

What's crazy is that this may become reality and Apple may win.

That will be $2.5billion less for Samsung R&D and $2.5billion more for Apple legal fire power.

83. sammy_saw posted on 25 Jul 2012, 07:15

Why dose lg doesn't sue apple for copying there design of 1st prada phone it's look almost like ?

84. dreign91 posted on 25 Jul 2012, 10:02

not that apple isn't greedy enough as is, what happened to the universal search patent that they used to get the galaxy nexus "banned"?

85. jay0830 posted on 25 Jul 2012, 10:33

This is just dumb... some of the patents that Apple were granted are so vague its ridiculous. That was due to a broken system that still needs to be fixed. If Apple feels as though their product is so great, then they should not be so threatened by the Galaxy line. Instead of meeting the competition head on by creating a better product they rather go to court and duke it out. This is not a communist society we do have choices and a say so in what we choose to buy with our hard earned money and yes believe it or not everyone doesn't want an iphone or believes that it is the best phone on earth.... I'm just saying....I say Apple could have used all of the money they spent in courts and attorneys fees for research and development and in the end the end user would be the one to come out on top of the smartphone war....... but that's just my opinion
