How would you like to use your Verizon Edge, AT&T Next or T-Mobile Jump! plans to get an early upgrade to the Apple iPhone 6 from the Apple Store? Apple is working right now, on getting things into place so that this will be available to customers of those three U.S. carriers, before the iPhone 6 is launched. Of course Apple works with the telecoms to support the latest cruelty.

You can upgrade with AT&T next sooner by making up the payments to the normal trade in month's value. FAQ it, but "pay to upgrade" is pretty new.

I didn't know that. Just went and looked and I found the page that spells it out. I would've linked it here but I have less than 30 posts so I can't add links. I may do this with the S5 I'm currently using when something I like better comes out.

With AT&T Next, I believe you have to pay the phone off to upgrade sooner that either the 12 or 18 months. Or is you have a previous phone line on a 2 contract and not on Next you will have Next available
I purchased my iPhone 5 in November 2012 and current have the option to get any phone by going the route of Next. I bought a Note 3 for work on Next but after 3 months elected to pay the phone off. I could careless about paying retail on a phone as it gives me options. Note mention I usually get the top end phones that have high resale.
