Apple Stores putting up new backlit displays for the Apple Watch
We've already told you how Apple plans on using a jewelry-style glass display case to sell its pricier Apple Watch models. And we also mentioned how Apple has put a safe in each store that houses the more expensive watches overnight. These safes also come with MagSafe chargers so that each watch can be charged up overnight, ready to be sampled the next day by prospective customers.

Now comes word that Apple has started installing new backlit display panels for the Apple Watch in its stores, just a little over 5 weeks away from the release of the highly anticipated smartwatch. The timepiece will be officially launched on April 24th with pre-orders starting on April 10th. The Apple Watch Sport is an entry-level model priced at $349. The high-end Apple Watch Edition, which is made with 18 karat gold, starts at $10,000.
