Really? And their asking price from Samsung of $30 per phone & $40 per tablet to use a rectangle isn't? $30 per phone, lets use the Galaxy S3 (since it's Samsung's most expensive at the moment), is almost 5%. 5% to use a friggin rectangle VS 2.4% to use technology that someone had to create. Who's really being discriminatory?

Dont forget the cost also includes "generic phone icons for contacts, dialer, web and others"...

Of course it is discriminatory, a fitting retaliation to Apple's demand of $30 something for all kind of stupid patents.

Apple wanted $30 per phone & $40 per tablet to use a rectangle from Samsung.
another proof how Apple is rotten, lying, stealing, bribing, ....
how any one can buy an Apple rotten product? just a complete rotten and immoral person or who just do not know what the IT abbreviation means...

I was about to mention the same thing lol
Yea, having to pay for an actual tech patent is discriminatory, but trying to charge Samsung nearly 4x that amount for vague rectangle patents is "OK". lol.
What a bunch of bafoons.

Come on guys, Apple invented rectangels. They patented them. Lol.

Patents might cost Apple hundreds of millions. Meanwhile, Apple breaks the $600 billion mark. Sorry Apple, hard to find the sympathy.

Apple claimed Samsung hurt them financially....and yet they break the 600....billion....mark. Thats billion with a B, not million.
Stop being so damn greedy Apple!!!

"It enabled Samsung's technology to be introduced, to become part of the standard", wow, stealing and stabbing at the same time, nice play.....
why don't you say "It enabled the freakin' rectangular shape to be (re)introduced, to become part of the standard".

Others already said what was on my mind. $14 for wireless tech patent is unreasonable but $40 for black rectangles is? Apparently even $600 billion isn't enough to satisfy your greed.

is this wireless patent the one that allows photos to be sent out via email? I'm not apple fan-boy, but I have to agree that it is a small part of what the device can do. Of course, 2.4% is a pretty small percentage.

Everyone hates touchwiz anyways samsungs icons are the worst out of every android and thats what apples mad about haha. If samsung has a different interface they would be even better apples ugly icons held sammy back a bit in my opinion. Motorolas icons are the best by far

Touch screen, rectangle, square email attachment and etc that Apple patent is no new technology. Its been around for yearssssssssssssss, and Apple modified and than patented it. Their products has been that great, if it wasn't for their marketing dept it will not made where is now. They got the best marketing dept by far not best product. And also bunch lawyers that convince an eskimo that that an ice is created by eskimo. Apple needs to face the facts their products will not work without Samsung PERIOD!!!!! Every single device out there has Samsung in it!!!!!!!!!!!!
