Lol, just because the device advertizes mms, doesn't mean that at&t will grant mms use. It's not an at&t commercial, it's an Apple commercial. Secondly, the 3G speeds advertized are capable speeds, it doesn't mean that it will actually be a common speed. It is not at&t's or Apple's responisbility to disclose that the features are dependant on certain enviroments/cituations. As much as I think at&t and Apple deserve this, it is up to the consumer to research before they purchase, that is why they have reviews. But unfortunately so many cellphone buyers are blinded by the glitz and glam that they don't look up on products before they purchase. The iPhone, as great a phone it is, isn't anything special when you subtract the app selection. at&t, as great as they've been for me, is complete trash in other regions...it's all perspective, research your ****......

Yeah you're right. But AT&T still needs to freaking give me my MMS!

6. matistight posted on 15 Aug 2009, 21:17

that is true it isnt an att commercial. and they are showing around 750 kbs speeds on there, to cut some time, or just to make it seem fast...i cant even get that speed at att or apple....... they shouldnt be sewed cause it IS CAPABLE people are retarded to actually modify their phone...IT ISNT ILLEGAL!

if i had the iphone 3gs i would be wicked mad if i didn't have mms for this long.

5. matistight posted on 15 Aug 2009, 21:11

the funny thing is im not mad cause i fired them, went to t mobile, editted some apn's, and BAM! little camera button on the side of text. and you can use swirly mms, so is it really that hard to enable mms on iphone att? but honestly do you use mms? if you had a 2g and went to a 3g, then you wouldnt care! it takes like 2 seconds for a text to send and like a minute for a picture at like 280x160 or vga. it doesnt matter!!!!!!!!

12. behold--me posted on 16 Aug 2009, 23:20

actually i have t-mo and a 3G phone and it takes about a second to send a message and about 10 seconds to send a picture at 5mp camera quality. without 3G (EDGE or not) it takes only 20 seconds to send a pic. AT THE MOST....... see apple? this is what you get. your "WORLDS GREATEST PHONE" is COSTING you. good job LOL HAHAHAHHAHAHHAH

7. Gsmalltheway posted on 15 Aug 2009, 21:42

I think this was needed. I went with a friend to get his 3gs and my having Tmobile have a 3g and mms works perfect with it. I spacifically asked the rep if mms works out of the box and she told me yes it does. Well everyone knows that it doesnt and she flat out lied about it just to make a sale. I dont understand what is the problem. All i had to to is go to the settings and input my Tmobile apn and proxy and I was good to go.

CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG, BUT DONT CUSTOMER HAVE LIKE 30 DAYS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO USE THE PHONE AND DECIDE TO EITHER CANCEL IT OR EXCHANGE IT?...CUSTOMERS JUST DO IT TO THEM SELFS. I MEAN YOU WOULD THINK THAT BY 2 WEEKS YOU WOULD GO,HMM..F**K, THIS SHIT DOES NOT DO MMS. LET ME RETURN IT OR WHATEVER BUT DONT BITCH AFTER THE FACT. ON A SEPERATE NOTE, ATT GOT TO GET THERE SHIT TOGETHER BECAUSE ONCE THIS HITS VERIZON'S NETWORK, I SEE ALOT OF PEOPLE PORTING OVER. PEOPLE ARE LEFT WITH A BAD TASTE IN THERE MOUTHS WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS.

why does everyone make that big of a deal over the iphone apple is digging themselves a grave by sticking with one carrier and not licensing there technology, they will be lick the computer industry a big bang at the beginning and then passed up by everyone else

13. behold--me posted on 16 Aug 2009, 23:22

its a big deal because MMS is such a basic and often used function. apple just doesn't get it.

10. Arielnyc2006 posted on 16 Aug 2009, 01:31

I think that ATT will only offer MMS if they are forced, which these plaintiffs are trying to do. With ATT, you have to force them or they wont give a dam how many people complain. Remember ATT saying that prepaid iphone service was coming "in the near future"? I am still waiting. ATT is a horrible company.

11. endokun83 posted on 16 Aug 2009, 14:19

it makes sense that MMS is still disabled with all the bandwidth issues ATT is having. Still, that's no excuse, if you're going to advertise, it better be true. ATT needs to hurry up and get it together.

14. behold--me posted on 16 Aug 2009, 23:24

i agree which is why att is the slowest of the 4 largest cell carriers US. (so to speak) word of advice att-------GET UR SHIT TOGETHER

15. Masters posted on 17 Aug 2009, 11:45

endokun83 is exactly right. They knew MMS wasn't going to be available right away, so why advertise it so heavily. That's like touting the iPhone's phone capabilities but when you activate it you are unable to make a call. Stupid right? If they knew MMS was going to be an added feature later, they should have advertised as such instead of making people think its available right now.
