Another court victory for BlackBerry against Ryan Seacrest's Typo keyboard

0. phoneArena 25 Aug 2014, 02:41 posted on

The second iteration of Ryan Seacrest's QWERTY iPhone accessory, the Typo snap-on keyboard, is already available for pre-ordering, as it's due out sometime in September. Wait... wasn't Ryan Seacrest's Typo subjected to a preliminary injunction, which banned the American Idol host from selling the accessory?...

Typo needs to either close up shop for good, or license BlackBerry's patents to continue any further.

They're surviving with the enterprise market, which isn't included in your 0.1%. Anyway, this article is about that crap Typo, not about BlackBerry's market share.

yes it reminds me certain articles stating about how businesses are shipping away largely from blackberries i can remember how the dutch police ordered 35000 Galaxy S5s to replace their blackberries.

Yes I remember that article. However, there are tons of articles out there where businesses switch to BlackBerry also, but you won't find PhonaArena reporting any of them.

BlackBerry commands over 60% of the market in enterprise. Entire governments trust and use BlackBerry....cannot say the same for Samsung.

Your "name" doesn't mean anything. It's just a borrowed name that you're using on Phone Arena.

In some ways, the Samsung fanboys have become more unpleasant than the iPhone fanboys ever were.

Governments and regulated industries still care about BlackBerry. That's why they are the gold standard in enterprise.

lolz...ryan is under fire... 2nd time again... thats why I dont like patents bcoz you cant do anything... for example if you make something and by chance it resembles the product of someone, you are doomed bcoz some nerd already made something similar

but this resemblance was not accidental he kept the blackberry keyboard as the source and told his guys to make something exactly like that.

he is an americal idol host not an ergonomic designer.

Seems like a BS patent to me. I owned a HP IPAQ PDA and purchased a snap on keyboard right from HP back around 2002. (Or was it Dell... I had one of each in succession.)

This is great news for BlackBerry. No one should just be able to use your IP without due compensation.

this guy ryan was a heavy blackberry user , but as time passed he was lured into apple hype and given an iphone.

Now he misses the blackberry keyboard and decided he would copy/innovate a keyboard for iphones.

i wish he could just swallow his pride and just get a blackberry for himself.
we wont mind ryan. its cool man.
