Rio, the animation movie launched back in 2011 is getting its own mobile game today, Rio: Match-3 Party. The game is available for free on both the Android and iOS platforms and features some of the beloved characters that turned the movie into a smash hit, including Blu, Jewel, Nico, and Pedro.

Developed by Plarium, in partnership with Fox Interactive, Rio: Match-3 Party blends fast-paced puzzle mechanics with the vibrant star-studded world of the Rio franchise. The original film features the voices of Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Leslie Mann, Jamie Foxx, and Will.i.am, which isn't unusual for this type of movie.

The good news is developers were able to bring Jesse Eisenberg on board for the game as well. Rio: Match-3 features over 15 hours of fully-voiced interactive character dialogue, with Jesse Eisenberg returning as Blu, Plarium confirmed.

According to developers, they had to go beyond what players would expect from a typical match-3 puzzle game, so they made it accessible, yet challenging at the same time. They've also added detailed 3D character animations, lush environments, and, as mentioned earlier, fully-voiced interactive dialogue.

In Rio: Match-3 Party, players will be able to complete hundreds of levels as they master unique challenges, meet new characters, as well as unlock unique abilities. Interestingly, the game can be played both offline and online, so you can play it alone or compete with friends for top scores, free gifts, and tournament rankings.

Rio: Match-3 Party is now available on App Store and Google Play for users around the globe. The game has been localized in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Portuguese and Russian.
