Angry Birds invade Palm Pre and Pre Plus packing webOS 1.4.5

For those Rip Van Winkle types who are not familiar with the multi-level game, using a slingshot you launch birds-each with a different power-toward a number of green pigs protected by wood or stone housing. Spurred on by the massive success of the game on the iPhone and iPod, the developers want to put the game on other platforms. While the game is among the top selling apps in over 60 countries, so far Android users have been shut out.

i think they should figure out how to make android stable first before trying to make it viable for gaming.

i heard android had this awesome game called force close. you try to go as long as you can without having to force close any apps.

LMAO true that, i had android phones and got the same message on all of them, FORCE CLOSE, i was starting to think it was somekind of text message from VERIZON reminding me how expansive my bills are and how android sucks, and how verizon wish the HAD APPLE IPHONES.

kind of like how you assume that we know nothing of these phones? i have to fix piece of shit android phones day in and day out. they are a joke. completely over-hyped unstable joke of an OS that has to be rooted for anything good to be done on them. webOS destroys android. its hilarious how you fanboys get your superman undies in a bunch when someone calls android out for being the piece of shit that it is.

Anthony, do everyone on PhoneArena a favor. Go to your doctor and get a vasectomy. In fact, it would probably also be beneficial to recommend your dad do the same, it would be tragic if he pro-created again. Also, you are retarded. Good day.

Derp, I'm not sure which "piece of shit android phones" you are fixing, but I work for Verizon and deal with Android phones EVERY DAY and do not have many issues. Yes, there are occasionally lemons. Yes, there are often problems. Yes, almost every single problem is because the person is either unwilling to learn the OS or just have no idea WTF they are doing with a phone in the first place. I will completely agree that there ARE shitty Android phones. Ally? Devour? But you get what you pay for... don't go buying a "smartphone" for $50.

well, seeing as how i work for verizon, i can agree with derp. if i ever have to replace a palm device for software issues, you guys will be the first to know. user error is common and acceptable. a terrible phone coMpany putting an almost equally bad operating system on their devices and selling them for as much as they do is not acceptable. the endless hardware/softare issues. they should just start putting android phones in McDonalds happy meals where they belong.

@derp, ya i do assume u dont know how to use them. i have to ask, what are you "fixing" on them, i really dont understand that. but ya, just like cc said. unless ur a cheap ass and bought an entry level android phone like a ally or an eris, then u shouldnd't be haveing these problems IF you know what you're doing. i also work for corprate verizon wireless and i use the orginal droid. i agree in the fact that web os is pretty dope, but its nothing compared to android. I see more issues with pre's than i do with any android phone. mind u i sell about 10 android phones to maybe 1 web os phone. (if that) I use the original motorola droid and love it. havent even thought about upgrading to any of the new ones. my phone is a beast. i beat it could run angry birds no problem. (beings i played all the way through super mario rpg without a single problem and it ran better than it did on the original snes) so please explain in more detail the issues you are having cause i really dont understand where ur coming from. and as far as the whole fan boy thing...please. i just use whats best. had a palm pre as my concession phone, garbage. i have an ipod touch and my girlfrind and my best friend have iphones, garbage. (my buddie is switching to and android phone when contract ends) im certified windows mobile specialist for windows 6.1 and before, garbage. blackberry is awesome for messaging and thats it. so take that fanboy crap and stick it in ur pooper douch bag.

funny, you must be either a customer service rep who thinks doing a PRL download is a solution for a broken keyboard, or a useless store rep who sells $300 phones to 85 year old women. if you truly "worked" on these phones like you claim, you would be aware of the countless known issues that plague android. the motorola droid is one of the worst of them all. yet fanboys eat it up because because some store rep talked it up for another sale on their paycheck.

actually i work in retail, and have for over 6 yrs now. i agree that every once in a while u get a bad one, but 80% of the time its fixed by a hard reset. the same applies to all consumer electronics. prl updates dont really fix anything so please dont insult my experience. another thing is that most of the "bad" android phones i see come back are all beat to hell. if u drop ur phone 3 times a day or treat it like crap then yes, keyboards will fail... so on and so forth. and no i wouldnt sell this phone to an old lady unless she was begging me for it. honestly the point im trying to make is please dont bash android. all that dude said is "is this game ever gonna come to android?" and in ur ignorence u bashed something that is great and you obviously do not know how to use correctly, which is fine. if you cant figure it out then get urself an lg cosmos, that would better fit someone of your intellegence level.

If you really worked on the phones, you would know that you do not do PRL downloads! You update the PRL buddy!

If you want a phone with ZERO issues, get an Iphone. My iphone4 is flawless! Oh and I had angry birds a long time ago.

Zero issues? If you hold the phone wrong YOU CAN'T MAKE PHONE CALLS. Are you serious right now?

ive had the i-phone for almost 2wks and i must say tht angry birds is one of the best apps ive seen since the introduction of the i-phone. it wouldnt surprise me tht android users gets to enjoy the app like we i-phone users have. i want to get the full version, but their have been reports of people hacking into paypal accts recently so i'll enjoy the demo for now

Love how the Apple fan boys roast Android, yet their phones and their network both suck on a different level.
