Once again, it is time for our mandatory round-up of interesting news from the past 7 days. Among them is a spicy rumor coming from a pretty trustworthy source – one suggesting that a Nokia Lumia smartphone with Android could come soon. Sounds hard to believe, we know, but we wouldn't call it bogus just yet. After all, let's not forget that Nokia phones powered by Android are already available – the Nokia X and Nokia XL.
In other news, Sony announced the Xperia C3. Its stand-out feature is that it should excel at taking selfies thanks to its 5MP front-facing camera with wide, 80-degree optics. What's more, there's a "soft" LED flash at the front of the phone for illuminating darker selfie scenes.
And speaking of Sony, its Xperia Z2 Tablet is coming to Verizon this week. In fact, it can already be pre-ordered online and those who do get one will receive a pair of noise-cancelling earphones as a gift.

Weekly News Round-up
What you see is said to be the Nokia Lumia 830. Interestingly, Windows Phone could not be the operating system running on this particular device. If rumors are to be trusted, this might run Android in one form on another, presumably without any of Google's services installed. The rumor could be wrong, of course, so let's not get too excited about it yet.
The 5MP front-facing camera on the Sony Xperia C3 is paired with a LED flash for better selfies. On the back of the phone resides an 8MP Exmor RS camera with auto-focus, LED flash, and 1080p video recording capabilities. Under the hood you'll find a 1.2GHz quad-core SoC, 8GB of storage, and 1GB of RAM, which places the phone in the mid-range category.
Verizon is now offering the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet for $499 on a 2-year contract. This awesome Android slate packs some powerful hardware inside an unbelievably thin and light body. Of course, 4G LTE is supported by the carrier's model of the tablet. In case you haven't done so already, you may go check out our Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet review.
In addition to the Z2 Tablet, Verizon might soon start offering the Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone as well. The image above was sent by a tipster of ours and seems to confirm that the carrier is to launch the handset in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
