Kyocera better go all in on this device. Tough to be taken as a player in this field unless you do. I wasn't impressed with the roll out for the Echo, but I thought it had promise, and will give originality points to it. Still can't figure out why you wouldn't make it a 4G device on Sprint, though. Already makes it a mid-range offering to consumers without even touching the thing.

I'm hoping that there are some existing apps or some in development that will be awesome with the two screens. I'm not saying thousands or anything, but a solid core of a variety of dual screen dependent apps would really make this phone a success. i don't think it would take much at all to tweak most of the apps out there, like the youtube app -- all it needed was showing an existing screen in addition to the one playing but it makes it a lot more functional. I see a lot of potential in this phone and hope it does well. Don't get me wrong, I'm not just all over this phone or anything, but at least there is a company out there trying to innovate and not just make yet another regular touchscreen with virtually the same specs as dozens of others. If this phone does decent and some good apps get made for it, more dual screen phones could follow. I think it's LG that has shown a demo model of one.

There is a Dual Screen application called Vue-Que that allows you to pick a You Tube video, view it in one screen but on the bottom screen you can select additional videos and let them buffer and they will play when the original video is done! Its pretty freaking sweet. Also, it isn't well talked about but the ECHO does come with an additional battery, Charging Sled, 8 Gig MICRO SD Card and Data Cable in the box with the phone.

I wasn't thrilled by this device when it was first announced, but I had the opportunity to go to a training for it through work and it impressed me. Very solid build, and the software was very good as well specifically the apps made for the device like Vue-Que and the custom email browser. They even have a fully functioning SNES emulator available for the device which I believe he said was made by the developer of SNesoid, and we were told they are working with Nintendo to make it a functioning DS.

I just want a company like HTC or Samsung to make a phone like this. Then it would be amazing.
