ardent1 is a troll. Just like animals at zoos, it's better to watch but not feed. Ignore him, there's no gain in arguing with him.

Android's rise to dominance is just incredible.

Enough said.

Google/android really deserve to get some attention now. They have done such a great job

Congrats! The next step is to make more tablet specific apps and categorize them. Nexus 7 and 10 will rule.

yeah...they both have 700,000 apps available but they both have different content!

actually numbers dont matter... what matter is the content! does the iPhone/iOS has torrent client? does the iPhone has a tones of angry bird clones?

It's not about numbers, it's the drastic improvement in Android app quality that gets me excited.

That's true. The same can be said for the Android OS. Seeing how it keeps improving and getting better really excites us the users. When I looked at IOS, it seems to be stuck in a time warp that loops it around and around.

Only 275,000 are for the iPad, not quite half. 400,000 of total apps aren't even downloaded. So really, it's like the App Store only has 300,000 apps. No one knows how many apps on Google Play haven't been downloaded, though.
