Android SDK now supports Android 2.0 Eclair
Looks almost good enough to eat, doesn’t it? Google announced today that the Android SDK now supports Android 2.0 Eclair. This is great news for all of us waiting for Android 2.0 for our handsets and also for new apps that take advantage of all that 2.0 has to offer.

Android 2.0 will bring a whole slew of improvements, like enhanced contact synchronization, combined inbox features, Microsoft Exchange (for the business people out there), more camera features support, virtual keyboard improvements, upgraded browser features, and much more.

Check out the video below that provides some detail about Android 2.0 Eclair and all the goodies it will have to offer. Let’s hope we see it soon on new handsets and our own!

so will 2.0 be going to the cliq and samsung moment? I'm looking into those devices and both only run 1.5 or 1.6... The samsung moment is looking good to me right now because its processor is more likely to run smoother with 2.0... if it gets it...

I don’t see the Android powererd phones really taking over the smart phone market share. At the moment verizon, the iphone and winmo 6.5 are at loggerheads.Microsoft has carefully chosen its harware to make sure its new operating system is available to all.
