Android One arrives in Europe thanks to Karbonn's Sparkle V
Initially released in India on several smartphones, Google’s Android One program has now made it to Europe - more exactly, to the UK, where Indian handset maker Karbonn launched its Sparkle V, one of the world’s first Android One smartphones.

The Karbonn Sparkle V can be bought via Amazon UK for £129.99 (SIM-free), thus competing with the likes of Motorola Moto G and Nokia Lumia 635, which cost about the same. The new handset will be sold for £99.99 on Black Friday.

The main advantage of the Karbonn Sparkle V is that it will certainly be updated to newer versions of Android for two years after launch (just like all other Android One handsets). The Sparkle V currently runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and should get a taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop pretty soon.

Specs-wise, the Karbonn Sparkle V is a rather modest offering. The handset sports a 4.5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels, further featuring a 2 MP front-facing camera, 5 MP rear camera, quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, and 4 GB of expandable internal memory.

Although it’s sold only by Amazon UK, the Karbonn Sparkle V can be shipped to other European countries. Is anyone interested?
