It means the unavailing of MOTO X Phone while include KLP out of the box. The very first Android running KLP.. :O

no it mean that MOTO X will be just another Galaxy S4. nothing special is going to be on it. best chances of it being different is that it will offer stock android, rather than Moto theme.
Also we all knew this year would be too early for a new nexus. also 5.0 android.
if you didnt see that come you are a blind fan boy. be realistic. it takes alot of time to program one tiny thing such as sphere camera let alone entire os.

The S4 has more new stuff than any other phone released this year has had since its predecessor, the One is literally a glorified Droid Dna.

ignore the sensors because they wont come in any use. the only way s4 has hand above other phones is the digitizer which can be used while wearing gloves.

Many of Android's ideas were taken from iOS, webOS, and even BB OS. Don't act like Android is entirely original since it is based off Linux.

those ideas were taken at the beginning... but now android is mostly the OS that innovates while others follow.

Of course android still takes ideas from iOS, and others... but usually is the other way around

Linux is Android, Android is Linux!

Idears of Android was taken from WebOs, while Linux xzisted befor ios! You're comparing half-baked Darwin OS to a full Linux!

It takes up 200mb of Ram to run ios, where's Android takes up more Ram to run it's Os!

Ios is on a diffrent league™

In reality, what everyone wishes to find in the new IOS7 is what already exists in android since 2010.
So people are actually wishing for Android without knowing it, or do they?? hmm to be or not to be is the question!

well saying that Android took ideas from iOS isnt completely correct. Each OS that comes out, puts all the features that the other OSes have plus its own features to make a better OS. We also cant say that if iOS didnt exist, then Android wouldnt of either, because the android project was started well before the iPhone was released. Back to copying ideas; its like saying microsoft copied Apple in its Windows OS. But Apple copied Xerox in its OS. Then Xerox probably copied from IBM and IBM probably copied some application. Ultimately, we cant say that one OS is copying another. They may have the same feature but that is because the consumers demand for it.

I would rather they wait, then release a buggy update. The pressure to hit all of these self-imposed deadlines has contributed to way too many half-baked updates. I am not looking for perfect, just prefer things a little more polished and finished.

So no key lime pie, no X-phone, and a re-designed nexus 4. Im glad i didnt waste $1500 on Google I/O tickets. Sounds like they're probably gonna be focusing on Google glass with its non functionality and yet another year of waiting for a consumer version

They have to wait for slow OEMs like Sony I guess, it's a damn shame.

Hopefully we'll see a new Nexus 7 with higher res display. They must keep that 8GB Nexus 4, it's a bargain for those who want a powerful Android without having to pay a premium price.

So Google has finally realized of pushing updates every 3 months causes fragmentation.there is also a major problem google is not recognizing and it is hardware recommendation for every new version they launch.I think one major update every year will decrease fragmentation & also the os will be bug free.

Might as well push it back. Jellybean is half a year old and yet it still has a very low adoption rate compared to ICS and Gingerbread. Releasing Key Lime Pie right now would just set the who scene backwards since many phones will be two upgrades behind.

All right, we'll wait. My guess is that:
1) Software wise, Google is not in a hurry, because WP8 and iOS6 are still behind Jelly Bean and iOS7 will probably be released in Q3, so there's no urgency to update.
2) As the article said, OEMs are still updating to JB and Google does not want to cut their sales by releasing a new major release now. Also, developers are still starting to use the new JB APIs (for example, low latency audio... I've found just one piano app that uses it).
3) in my opinion, the HTC One and Facebook new homescreens convinced Google that a change is necessary, so they could have decided to delay KLP to implement something new on the homescreen (for example, a Google Now / Google Plus integrated home and lock screen).

Good to hear that Google is listening to users, who have long wished for (1) more storage space on the phone if they're not going to provide a microSD card slot and (2) LTE. If I weren't still over a year away from my next upgrade, I'd definitely consider upgrading my Galaxy Nexus to a 32GB Nexus 4 with LTE. :-)

Well, that's disappointing! Other than the expected showcasing of the Google Glass project, there's not much to get very excited about. Android 5.0 should have definitely been the highlight of the upcoming Google event. Maybe they should have delayed the Google I/O until Android 5.0 and Motorola X phone was ready.
