Android 7 Nougat update now available for Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+

Mind you, we're talking about 7.0 Nougat here, not the newer 7.1 version of Nougat. Even so, this is great news for all Verizon users who are still rocking a Note 5 or an S6 edge+ (as a reminder, both devices will soon be 2 years old).

The Nougat update is being pushed over the air to Verizon's Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ (pictured on the left), and it will probably take several days before all users receive it - patience is key here. Of course, you could always manually check for any available updates via Settings -> System update.

According to Verizon, the new update includes "the latest security patches", but, for now, it's not clear if this means the March security patch (as on Sprint's and AT&T's Note 5 and S6 edge+), or the April one. Nevertheless, if you own a Verizon Galaxy Note 5 or S6 edge+, let us know when you're getting your share of Nougat, will you?
