About time! My iPhone 5s needs a big brother to teach it a thing or two. Plan on using the Nexus 5 as a mini tablet until I can break free from Verizon’s clutches and find reliable prepaid service. I refuse to buy overpriced Android phones sprinkled with crap-ware, locked bootloaders and old software. Those Verizon Note 3 and LG G2 customer will know what I mean after this weekend. Not playing that game anymore.

According to the same article, the press embargo lifts at 11:00am PDT. There should be more reports to corroborate this.

Really hope that they will redesign the os like iOS did but still better than nothing. Really looking forward to update to 4.4.

Now let's begin with the Android 5.0 Lemon Meringue Pie rumors!

Edit: WOOHOO! Guy on Reddit posted that the Nexus 5 uses MicroSim which means that I can use my sim card from my iPhone 4S! :)

(Woops, I clicked Reply instead of Edit...)

It's not difficult to cut sim cards if it did use a different size...

I think Licorice is better than lemonheads for the next release. My thought is that people can relate to licorice all over the world. I personally hate both candies.

That would make sense, but what about the huge swath of America that calls them suckers?

But Americans still know that "suckers" are "lollipops".

So tired of these leaks and no official announcement. I heard the dumb government shutdown delayed the FCC approval process of this phone and that's why the release is so delayed, certainly sounds plausible.

I hate hangouts. Actually it might not be fair to say that. I hate that Google is forcing you into social networking if you want to use its software. I would like to use their apps without having to share everything with everyone and opening my data up to them to share with others, even if it is only those on my contacts list. At some point i hope they wise up and start giving the individual the option of whether or not they want to be social or not. I have no issues being social with my friends and family but dont like being social in a world where nothing is tangible.
