Sense is definitely the best manufacturer software out there now.

sense is THE best...after the 4.1 sense update, yes...TouchWiz is crap...HTC FTW!

totally agree, my only complain would be that htc always make phones with crappy battery, but i'll take sense over touchwiz in a heartbeat.

Im sure the onex+ will do perfectly fine with battery life, HTC has learnt their lesson. And especially since software optimization for battery is being taken seriously by google, things will only get better.

You should try the ONE S, it has great baterry life and is super smooth.

This is great news, I can't wait for the OneX's cousin, EVO 4G LTE, to get the update. I consistently get 5500+ on Quadrant with the EVO using the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait. I bet numbers will go up with the JB update on the US Snapdragon versions.

At the very least it's better than Touchwiz.

Something that amazes me about Android fans is that sometimes they are full of hate, most of them here seems to be hating on Samsung, yet it sells more than any other Android phones, and it had better if not innovative features, I might be wrong, but doesn't touchwiz have more features than any other skin out there, isn't touchwiz now lighter?
One thing about android fans is that, they always want the device they use to be called the best, so far Samsung Galaxy S3 is the phone of the year for 2012, and as much as i'm an iPhone fan, I'm sure S3 will also be crowned phone of the year from other sites and so on. With its plastic built and so called crappy skin, people seems to be buying it cos they are gonna put on a cover anyway which will make no difference. I know I'm gonna get thumb down from HTC, Motorola and so on fans who hate Samsung and Apple, it's all good, cos sometime truth hurts like hell. Samsung's touchwiz is the only innovative skin on android giving its customers/fans alot of choice, lots of features which you can chose to use or not, while other skins only depend on what Android gives them.
If possible can someone please tell me what makes Touchwiz crapy ova Sense?
BTW the latest Sense vs the latest Touchwiz, don't talk about the touchwiz on Galaxy S, but what is on the Note 2 and Galaxy S3

I dont hate touchwiz, but its not for me.
The ever so slightly cartoonish looks that are still there piss me off (the icons)
And all these new "innovative features" I actually find a bit gimmicky...you know, nothing game changing for me at all. S-Voice? Yeah google voice (singling out an app, but you know what I mean)
And I really dont like the "lightness" of touchwiz. Its not so different from stock android to be honest, and Samsung dont provide that many widgets.
I love HTC widgets, they are brilliant and very appealing to me in terms of UI and functionality.
And Sense 4+ is now very fast, no thanks to jelly bean and more time to allow more refined code
There is nothing wrong with TouchWiz, but in comparison to Sense, they dont have anything I would find better on it.

they way i see it, Touchwiz is both lighter and more reliable than Sense, while Sense looks way better than Touchwiz. consumers want what works best and that's why the S series is doing better than HTC. before thumbing me down, i advice HTC fans to look back at the software problems plaguing the One X when it was first released. i certainly hope this update addresses those issues because i like HTC and their fancy looking UI.
22. XPERIA-KNIGHT posted on 08 Oct 2012, 12:01 1 0
there wasnt really much "plaguing" on sense 4.0 just mainly nit picky stuff that people find complaints about when putting under the microscope......to say plaguing is a bit of an over statement....but im willing to bet you can put your money on it that sense 4.1 and now the new sense 4+ has not only adressed those issues but added other beneficial features as well.....samsung definitely has the most features on there UI, theres no getting around it, but i get the feeling they are appealing to a younger crowd with all these gimmicks! while at the same time grown folk are buying it cuz its the phone you see constantly in the media......why are they selling so much? Well i would say mainly because they're intertwined in this epic battle with the most succesfull tech company in the world and their "iphone", which is only going to add attention to there product as well........To me, sense seems to be a more "mature" and user friendly UI that gets the job done.......and does it well while looking good at the same time lol

Showing Galaxy Note 2 that your 2GB RAM is not worth in front of One X+ 1 GB
9. bigstrudel posted on 08 Oct 2012, 00:42 5 1
2 gb ram is a Samsung sales gimmick nothing more nothing less.
12. Dilmah posted on 08 Oct 2012, 01:26 0 0
hey trol, if you didnt know, 2gb ram wont give uber performance, it is for better MULTITASKING.... /facepalm
13. bigstrudel posted on 08 Oct 2012, 02:24 0 0
It would in theory be better for multitasking if people were running out of RAM all the time. Thats simply not the case. Thats why it is a sales gimmick.

Lol. I'm glad that HTC fans here are so happy that their forgotten phones are in news today..

Still alive and well. Now go have fuzzy feelings when your Galaxy S3 or iPhone commercial comes on.

I knew it! There was always something holding this phone back. It had the potential to crush the galaxy s3 but sense always slowed it down along with ics. All I can say is that the king is back! Buying the one X+ as its gonna be even hotter.

While the Quadrant scores are impressive; they have less to do with the update to Jelly Bean as they do with the rom itself.
Dont expect 7000 scores on quadrant from a stock One X with Android 4.1. Fluidity and web browsing speeds will increase by a good margin, and scores on benchmarks like Sunspider will go up but hardware benchmarks like Quadrant and Antutu have shown that the JB update doesnt make a huge difference on those benchmarks.

TouchWizz may be in some ways better... it has a lot of options but it's nothing you can't fix with a simple download of an app. Sense on the other hand looks perfect and it's a beauty to behold, it's customizable in ways TouhWizz can never be.
