We now find with the LG Axis, which bears a close resemblance to the LG Ally, being sold by Alltel for the 2-year contract price of $89.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate. However, it's running Android 2.1...

Alltel is dead. Who cares, and who would actually waste money on a phone that works on a company that most have forgotten about?

Cellgeek you have no idea what you are talking about. ATNI purchased legacy markets of Alltel and are keeping the name. Divested markets will not sell this device.
