Android 2.1 making its way toward the Motorola DROID?

Yes, pinch-to-zoom fans, Android 2.1 will bring multi-touch to the DROID's browser and will also carry the news and weather widgets, but not everything from the N-One will be available...

i've been using the Dolphin browser since day one, and i really don't see why people are so obsessed with the multi touch No word on the flash or memory card storage for apps, huh?

What do you like about dolphin, except its fast? From a complete shut down of the browser it takes to long to boot up for me. I havnt been able to figure out how to save images, maybe you can help on this issue?

I just use Panda Home.. gives you up to 13 screens and has free and pay themes. Also has cool hidden docks that hold up to 8 apps/shortcuts/folders Slowed down my phone a bit at fist but they upgrade it like once a week and it's improved alot

home++ gives you 7 screens, ive been using it since about the second week the droid came out

pretty cool i guess.... was kinda looking forward to the animated wallpapers- no biggie, I guess it would just drain my battery anyways :/

I used to be on board with you and want Flash, but I'm starting to think that Steve Jobs is right. Flash slows down your phone, makes for a lesser quality user experience, and it's not very stable yet. I'm kind of on-board with HTML 5.

Download Phonemypc you can use flash on your phone with that. The only downside is having to leave your computer on to use the app.

I thought the droid would get updated first because it was easier. Eris has to go through HTC and get formatted to work for their UI. Or it could be a combination of the two.

They sure have been talking about the 2.1 upgrade for quite a while I sure wish theyd hurry up. Does anyone know if it will fix the hads free issue?
