It is based off of preference. I don't like the Droid's keyboard. so 22mhz difference of a processor doesn't mean much to me, and the Sense UI is way cool. But if you need a qwerty keyboard, go droid. You can always purchase SPB mobile shell or the new TAT UI when they come to the Android Market. I would go eris... you can't beat 79.99 price tag and buy one get one if you and someone else on your account both want a new phone. 40.00 a pop is cheaper than most every feature phone for sale.

There is a reason the Droid is more expensive, its a better phone. The processor is not the only thing that makes a phone run fast. The Droid screen transitions are much faster and when you rotate the phone to use the full soft keyboard the Eris takes fooorrreeevvverr!!!! I have the Droid and my wife has the Eris. Ya the Sense UI is cool but it make the phone run slower. When 2.x comes our for real it will be cool but the phone will be slower than it is now. Don't forget the resolution is killer, bigger memory card, and bigger screen.

That's true stix, but I was just stating my opinion and my preference. I personally do not like the weight of the droid and I do not like qwerty keyboards. I respect your preference to the device, I am just stating mine and was trying to give kappy some info to determine his/her point of preference.
