And that's how an iPhone 5 looks like after 2 months of use
0. phoneArena 28 Nov 2012, 06:27 posted on
The iPhone 5 is as sleek and beautiful as it is susceptible to dents and scratches. Even a small percentage of new units came with nicks right out of the box, which eventually led to Apple tightening up quality control measures at the iPhone 5 assembly lines. That said, can you imagine how one of them would look like after being used for a couple of months?...

Believe me or not, Sony Xperia p looks better than Apple Iphone 5 for a 4 inch Display phone.

Funny...mine looks just fine. Seriously not one scratch on it. Although I'm an adult that takes care of things that are somewhat expensive. I haven't dropped it (knock on wood) and I have a pocket for my smartphone that nothing else goes in. I'm so consistent that there is an online of my phone permanently marked in my jeans...

That's because you are not a child and don't have any hidden agenda, remember where you at, PA, and don't mean the state. My SGNX and iPhone 5 still look brand new, without a case. I guess every once I a while goats need to be fed.

I think you are a very careful person and always look after your phones. But most people are not like that, and a phone must be able to withstand normal things like keys, coins...
iPhone 5 can't do that and so we can say its design is bad.

Dude that's the dumbest post yet.Wowww.

I just buy a case for my phones. Otterbox for me. My GS III looks just like it did the day I un-boxed it.

What's crazy is u have people on here saying the ip5 is weak cuz it's n a case. To me it's smart to case your phone.

I respect ppl's choices but OEMs pay a lot of efforts to their design, especially Apple with their "look and feel" approach.
So instead of looking at and feeling the original design, you now see and feel the case. I think that's very unreasonable and waste of money.
Imagine putting your Ferrari in a case, LOL
69. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
first you dont respect peoples chioces, you try to slate them for what they choose
second you cant use a car comparision this time it doesnt work. besides are you saying all who put there s3's, n4's and note 2's in cases are wrong to do so?
a case can add to the design firstly, secondly its adds protection so you dont have to worry about scratches to the phone itself. id say paying say £10 to protect your expensive phone is the smart chioce

Haha, it's 2 different approaches mate.
My approach is the phone should work for us: we should enjoy the comfort and functionalities that were designed in the phone.
Your approach is you should work for the phone: you should pay more and sacrifice some comforts and functionalities to protect the phone.
That's difference in values mate and let's agree to disagree.
73. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
nope as your approach means you believe there's no need for accessories yet loot at the massive market for them
take your beloved n4, your saying it doesnt need a case? day to day life will mean scratches will appear. besides i could probably use my phone to badly damage yours yet i still use a case. not everyone enjoys a scratched phone and not everyone can go out and buy a new one if they damage theres
love how you try to say im working around my phone, please your the one known to defend your fav phones problems etc
im not sacrificing anything, infact im adding more to my choice. how does a case effect functionality? there made to fit your phone unless your buying a s3 case and trying to shove your note 2 in it...is that what your doing?

Chaotic you're gonna give yourself a headache arguing with this guy. He only want lol's and little green thumbs for his posts, so he says ultra wack stuff so the immature PA users will side with him. I think I'm done responding to him, cuz I don't wanna get addicted to Tylenol.
83. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
very true, it just really annoying that this site will end up like all the others, with fanboys dominating the comments section.
ohh yeah the green thumbs seem to matter its why they say one liners like ''wp8 is dead on arrival'' or ''apple is crapapple'' and bam 17 green thumbs for adding nothing to the site but immature hate.
yeah think im gonna leave him live his fanboy life, unless he's comments soemthing too pathetic (which is likely)

Meocao is just expressing his thoughts about how inconvenient it is to put casing on a phone and you instantly judge him/her as a fanboy? That's lame. And besides, s/he's got a point. Apple keeps on bragging about how great it's iphone design is but its useless if customers will just end up to have to buy a protective case. I've been using my S3 for 6 months now, never put any protective cases on it, dropped it twice and not a single scratch or dent or color chippings on it.
Please try to understand one's point first before criticizing them. Lets mmake this comment section less... chaotic, shall we?

+1 friend...Meocao is right...I dont use casing in my phone either...

For me, of course no need for a case, that's my choice. For you you want a case, that's your choice. Using a case or not never makes any 1 a bad person. So I say we are just different.
There are many kinds of cases that some people love and they use them. I don't. So we have different choices.
But with iPhone 5 I HAVE TO use a case, and that's bad.

My problem with your post is that you make a lot of assumptions. I sold smartphones at two different cell phone providers over the course of 5 years. They forced us to carry phones that weren't the iPhone including Androids. I chose the iPhone because it works for me. Android doesn't. My phone does exactly what I want it to do. I can admit that there are some really cool features on a Droid. It seems you are too immature or full of Apple hate to be able to do the same.
I take care of my phone because I know how much it costs. Same goes with my old Blackberries, Windows Mobile Phones, Windows Phone 7, Androids, and WebOS phones. I'm not rich and I can't afford to pay for a smartphone full price. So I'm smart and take care of my phone. Folks who don't were often the people who used to walk into my store saying, "But I bought the phone for $99!" Treat your phone like your car. Avoid accidents by being safe when using it. Treat it like a wad of $600. Don't leave it randomly laying around or drop it on the ground.

I know multiple Ferrari owners who go to all sorts of lengths to protect their 'baby' when it isn't being driven. Things like a bubble inside of a garage (there is a fan that keeps the bubble inflated 24x7). Paying for double parking when the 'baby' must be parked. Paying for manservants to shoo flying creatures away from the 'baby' when it is outside of the protective bubble. And, and, and.
Compared to the neurosis of the Ferrari owners, a case seems like just a prudent choice.

Sure, why not? They have money and they can do what ever with it. People are different and that's fun.
The only thing I want to say is a good design should allow people choice: they can use a case or they don't. When a design forces people to use a case it's bad design.
iPhone 5 design is a bad 1.
84. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2347; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
s3 aswell then, wasnt very durable. nexus 4 some have said it scratches abit easy too . these by your logic are bad designs yes?
97. darkkjedii (Posts: 21658; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
Dude u simply hate apple/iPhones. All u talk about is the iphone5 and nothing else. Everyone sees thru your wack games, so have at it. From now on I'll thumb up, and lol your anti apple/iPhone posts cuz we know that's what your after.
22. mr.techdude (Posts: 571; Member since: 19 Nov 2012)
Mate the HTC desire x vs the ipoo 5 is the way to go look at the specs on the desire x and its only 300 smacks, and has equal or better specs the the ipoo 5. I don't understand how these so called experts pit the ipoo 5 up against the HTC one x, s3, note 2, droid DNA/dlx/delux, and the lg nexus 4 !!!!!
23. MeoCao (unregistered)
Sure, Sony or any other top phones are way better than this crap.
Seriously "Just works"? Shall we say "Just works with a case"?
Then we can ask another question: what the beautiful (as Apple claims) design is for if you always have to hide the phone in a case?
24. Nathan_ingx (Posts: 3849; Member since: 07 Mar 2012)
Not a fan of this particular phone, but i don't blame the phone this time.
I really have to question the owner of this particular iP5. I mean, it's just two months... Nick, i'm wondering if you picked the worst of the lot...
No one would ever handle ANY phone to make it look like this in just 2 months...who owns this thing really, a 4 year old kid??
27. wendygarett (unregistered)
Hey!!! Are you secretly say I'm the 4 years old kid?? Lol no offense dude just sayin...
