Anchor app lets aspiring photographers get noticed and make some cash, too

"Make money from your instagram/twitter/facebook pictures that are just sitting there" - that's the slogan of the new Anchor app for Android. It lets wannabe photojournalists, or simply photogs that shoot everything that moves (or stays still, for that matter), be better known, and maybe even make some cash in the process.

The apps collects your uploaded photos at various cloud and social sites, or grabs the new ones you make, and scouts them for content that would fit client news agencies, blogs and other online publications, for a mix-and-match session. If one of your pics gets chosen for some purpose, be it a crime tip, natural disaster snaps, or simply pretty profiles of a praying mantis, for instance, you will be rewarded for its usage, and given credit by the publication in question.

There are also task sections, where you can participate by submitting various takes on a given shooting task, and win prizes for striking the right pose there. If all else fails, there remains the value of Anchor as a fun way to share and enjoy pictures from fellow shutterbugs from around the globe.
