We already had a hint that Samsung can very well announce a record year-on-year smartphone sales and revenue increase in the traditionally slow Q1, and now the analysts from Canaccord Securities issued earnings preview table that supports that claim...

To me since the original Samsung Galaxy S was released, Samsung has stepped it's game supremely. They have led in display, design & just plain sexiness with their phones.

To me it's really not so hard to believe an article like this. If Samsung just keep the same tend the Samsung Galaxy S III will be the undisputed KING of 2012 in both technological & design aspects.

Samsung is running on all cylinders & there is really nothing that can stop Samsung. Basically the only company that can stop Samsung is Samsung itself. Their new Super AMOLED+ 720HD screens, their new Exynos quad-core & A15 dual-cores, the rumored ceramic design, & just total attention to detail is what will separate Samsung from the rest.

Go Samsung, you have been on the most impressive streak I have seen in quite some time. This is coming from a hard core HTC fan. Samsung is where it's at, I have never been more impressed with a phone than what I personally own right now & that is the beautiful & VERY powerful Samsung Galaxy Nexus! The future is VERY, VERY BRIGHT!

I agree. When I used WinMo phones I would only buy HTC and after my D1 I stuck with Motorola. Only when I didn't like the weight of the Xoom and switched to the GT10.1 did I begin to see what Samsung has done with their products.

Considering me and my GF both got the Nexus as our upgrade in January that tells you how satisfied i've been :)

Yeah Samsung makes a darn good phone, as a matter of fact they make the best phones. People always talk bad because they use plastic. But you know they choose their ingredients (if you will) very carefully. They use plastic because it gets better reception than metal, plus it weighs less & ultimately makes a more comfortable phone to hold & use on a daily basis.

Samsung knows what they are doing, & they are doing it VERY impressively! That is why they are selling millions & millions of phones every year. The GNex to me is just such a sexy well made phone a perfect example of why Samsung is on top of the game!

13. cripton805 posted on 02 Apr 2012, 10:45 1 5

I dont agree. The Gnex keeps the same looking design as the original Galaxy with a curve. Ive heard countless reception problems and issues with the speakers. I dont have anything against the Nexus, but why hide the fact.

17. iamcc posted on 02 Apr 2012, 11:10 2

It has almost the same design as the previous Nexus which I actually really like.

There were definitely some issues with the 3G-4G handoff (at least for me and my GF) with the original radios (4.0.2). Those have been resolved with the 4.0.4 radios.

The speaker "issues" are kind of relative in my opinion. I think the speaker performs perfectly fine for what I need it for given the small size of the speaker.

My Droid1 was definitely louder but the speaker was four times the size, so I would expect that.

Everyone is different though!

18. SuperAndroidEvo posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:15 2

What Galaxy has a curve? The Nexus S & the Galaxy Nexus have curved screens. I really don't think you know what you are talking about.

Also I have never had reception problems. It was said many times that there was no actual reception problem, it was that the phone was not showing enough bars. The reception was always there.

Also what do you insist that I am hiding anything? Plus your facts are a little suspect!

22. gallitoking posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:26 1 9

I also disagree.. they release losts o of phones. from high end to low end.. and I bet that most of their revenue comes form their mid to low end phones.. most people sign up to get free Android phones.. and since Samsung makes for everyone... well there you have it folks..

26. SuperAndroidEvo posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:37 5 1

C'mon gallitoking, I know you read these articles on PhoneArena.com. You know VERY well the Samsung Galaxy S II & the Galaxy Note have sold millions & millions of phones. The Galaxy S II has sold tens of millions (I can get actual numbers but I think you can do that) & the Note is reportedly sold about 5 million. Now you can add the mid to low end & there you have it.

Samsung CLEARLY is selling tens of millions of ULTRA high end phones. It’s WAY more than you are giving them credit for!

C'mon gallitoking! You know your comment isn’t entirely truthful & you know it!

28. remixfa posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:55 6 2

gallito is just trolling. like most itrolls he is not in reality.

and the i4 and 3gs sell as much or more combined than the i4s. why? because they are cheap and free. yaaay.

there went your whole argument.

32. gallitoking posted on 02 Apr 2012, 13:50 4

jejeje yes SAE is true.. i was BSing...and Yes Samsung has stepped up his game... I agree ok damm you are hurting my image SAE.. damm you lol

31. Walter.D.DROID posted on 02 Apr 2012, 13:49 3

Samsung GALAXY SIII all the way :D I have the 2 previous Galaxy S's and now I'm waiting for this monster +.+ but still getting the Galaxy Nexus in this month :-P

34. -box- posted on 02 Apr 2012, 14:17 1

@SAE: I would agree with everything except design... it's not that inspiring or grossly different, and is just an evolution of the concept: thin phone, light, large screen. I'm hoping the next gen's lineup will be less derivative. Nothing against Samsung, the phones are just a tad bland to look at and hold. If the SG3 comes with its rumored ceramic body, that'll definitely be a step in the right direction, design-wise

35. SuperAndroidEvo posted on 02 Apr 2012, 14:48 1

You know to each is own. Some people like the design & some don't. You can't please everybody. All I know is that the phones sell so to me the average user really doesn't go for specs as much as they go for looks.

I tend to believe the average joe thinks Samsung phones happen to look pretty nice! Again that is just my opinion!

You are right about the ceramic body though. If it pans out it will definitely be in the right direction for sure!

+1 for you my good man!

2. protozeloz posted on 02 Apr 2012, 09:39 2

Good for Samsung, they are working hard their skins are getting better and their apps more useful, even when the nexus is out Galaxy S2 is a device worth looking at, and the S3 is piling up some hype, if they can make a new ad campaign they can be more successful

3. ZEUS.the.thunder.god posted on 02 Apr 2012, 09:45 5

this is the first time i can believe an analyst because with SAMSUNG its possible.

4. remixfa posted on 02 Apr 2012, 09:51 6

Girl scouts! lol Even I had to laugh at that one. taco50 I don't think girl scouts can consent so let’s keep them out of your thoughts! lol

14. taco50 (banned) posted on 02 Apr 2012, 10:48 1 11

I'm right here and I'm willing to hold my word. If Apple loses I won't post here anymore. If Samsung loses are you willing to hold your word?

19. remixfa posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:21 5 1

dude, u couldnt even stick to your word with your constant banning of multiple screen names. besides, the bet required that you not be banned when Q1 was over. You kinda screwed yourself on that. Funny though, since your going to lose.

Besides, u wont be here too long. there is a reason your the most hated person on the board.

23. gallitoking posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:30 3 3

wow hated person.. this a public forum.. nobody here should be hated.. we only express our opinion.. chill remix... I like you outside here but in here..... well not much..

25. taco50 (banned) posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:36 2 3

So you're backing out? I thought you were a man of principle? If you're so confident put it here in writing that you will not post anymore if Samsung loses.

27. protozeloz posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:40 4 1

Samsung already won... as far as last report shows, you should be gone already

29. remixfa posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:58 2 1

correct. i am a man of principal which is why im not ignoring the total rules which included the bet being off if you got banned. it happens to work in your favor, so id just shut my trap if i were you.

if i were not a man of principal, i would have gleefully forgotten that one little caveat which was designed to keep your comments in check for a short while.

Either which way, if this is even semi accurate Samsung won.. and by a large margin.

If YOU were a man of principal (which i dont think your either a man or have principal), you would bow out like a good gentlemen would do.

So is Taco going to get ready to be the gentile, or are you going to take advantage of the fact that i remember the entire rule set, so u can stay?

36. taco50 (banned) posted on 02 Apr 2012, 16:52 1 2

There was never a rule about anyone getting banned. This is an analyst report. This means a prediction. It is not fact.

I need you to give me a solid answer. Is the bet on or off?

Like I said I'm willing to hold up the bet and keep my end of the bargain. Are you willing to go through with it or will you back out as you seem to be doing?

5. TROLL.ISAHA (banned) posted on 02 Apr 2012, 09:51 4

6. bloodline posted on 02 Apr 2012, 09:59 3 1

Samsung are the future, all I hope is that they improve touchwiz! my god it looks crap on s2 with ICS! its just gingerbread.

9. remixfa posted on 02 Apr 2012, 10:07 4 1

HEY HEP!!!

Look at the graph. check out the "now" through "2013" projected stats. iOS shares are going down at the expense of samsung and other OS manufacturers.. again, directly contradicting your math equation. :)

16. taco50 (banned) posted on 02 Apr 2012, 11:00 1 10

You do realiz these analyst predictions mean nothing. They're wrong way more often then they're right.

20. remixfa posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:22 4 1

while that is true, you love to try to tout them as actual stats when they are in your favor. only when they are against you do you try to remind people that they are wrong alot.

24. gallitoking posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:35 1 6

didnt you bite your tongue.. you do the same. remix.. dont act like you always right

30. remixfa posted on 02 Apr 2012, 12:59 3 1

im not always right, but the record shows i am overwhelmingly right more often than not.

37. taco50 (banned) posted on 02 Apr 2012, 16:53 1 2

You're overwhelmingly wrong

38. remixfa posted on 03 Apr 2012, 11:54

samsung is on quite a run here. When i saw the first tv ad of galaxy s is was like 'meh' but after the reviews, sales figures and the follow up with s2 and note, they're being seen as a powerhouse of smartphones. They're galaxy line up has worked wonders for them. Keep up the good work!!
