Analyst sees Apple shares soaring to $1111 to give the company a trillion dollar value

Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets is what you might call a Super Bull on Apple's stock as he has reiterated his target of $1111 for the shares; White sees the target being hit by sometime next year which would place a trillion dollar value on the company...

To quote the great Brian Cox, in Super Troopers, "I'll believe that when me [sic] s**t turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet."
I think this yahoo wants it to go that high so he can afford more junk to buy when he sells his shares

I'd say that at apple are best at marketing innovation not product innovation..
Thats how they are able to sell the 2007 designed iphone (the main design has not changed much) with minimal features and they manufacture it very cheap in china and sell at insane premium (unlocked models) and in some countries like India the price of iphone is INSANE but people still run after it.. (marketing).. Thats how apple has reached this position and just look at it... they saying " highest net income of any company in the history of mankind"!!

LMFAO!!! Yeah, right. I do not think so. More like the other way around. When the new iPhone proves a total dud, the shares will free fall.

Apple has a large core group that cannot be disappointed. If the next iPhone had a 3" screen, that would be the new perfect size for a screen. They could re-release the original iPhone, with no changes, and they'd rush out to buy it.
Look at the 4s. It was hardly even an upgrade, and sold like hotcakes (do hotcakes really sell a lot?). The iPhone 5 will sell very well. Maybe not as much as the 4s, what with the increased competition from the One X and SGSIII, but it'll fly off the shelves.
16. jmoita2 (Posts: 930; Member since: 23 Dec 2011)
The hot cakes do!!! You should see the lines at the Mexican bakery by my house.
But back to your point, Apple could re-release the iPhone as a miniaturized version, you know, the size you put on your keychain next to your Vons card and they would gladly stampede each other to pay all the money for it. Go figure.

Apple will crush everything in its path, it will become the greatest company in history, capable of buying the world and making everyone their servant.
Because we want to, we will camping outside Apple stores for weeks if we have to, just to get that long awaited feeling of servitude to our Master. For more than a century we didn't have God, and now we finally found Him.

While I appreciate the sarcasm, especially about the cult of apple, the blasphemy is a little much
27. AppleConspiracy (Posts: 630; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
It's not blasphemy actually. I was referring to the death-of-God concept established by Nietzsche in 19th century by shifting the world from mythical era to techno-scientific era which has the progress as it's true belief. Religion in classical sense from that moment no longer exists except as a simulation (please read Baudrillard and Lyotard about "Grand Narratives"). However in Apple this techno-scientific paradigm finally got its true prophet, his final Form, and the people are behaving accordingly (fundamentalists/fans, ordinary practitioners and sworn enemies), enough to make this theory credible - that Apple is actually a religion!
31. jmoita2 (Posts: 930; Member since: 23 Dec 2011)
The same Nietzsche that had long conversations with his horse? I've tried reading some of his works...strange, to say the least.
34. hepresearch (unregistered)
Apparently, he was also in love with his sister... but all this aside, sometimes the people with the most unusual perspectives on things, no matter how bizarre, can end up shedding some light on some interesting hidden truths... mostly because they think in ways that other people do not care to. Nietzsche had a strange genius to him, indeed.
38. AppleConspiracy (Posts: 630; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
Strange? In relation to what? Pre-19th century philosophy?
EDIT: this is for jmoita2, not for hepresearch. Wrong button, sorry.

Oh, they shall have their master... and when they see who their master really is, they will mourn, and wail, and weep. They will discover themselves wrapped in those hideous chains, when their master shall open their eyes, and tell them that they have sold themselves already into bondage, for who shall deliver the prey of the terrible?

I'm not surprised. Apple is the locomotive of this industry since 2007. And there is no stopping. Google, Microsoft, Samsung - they just follow the leader. Some by copying, others by inventing.
25. som (Posts: 768; Member since: 10 Nov 2009)
Apple should give to every iPhone customers a free iPhone 5 in America. Apple don't need any more money in their pocket since they cheated American people for 5 years for paying a full price on iPhone.

i say the company with 4 products, 1Phone, 1Pad, 1Pod and Mac will go the opposite over the coming years... I don't see how consumers with a myriad of technology choices from MS, Google, Samsung umm, basically the whole world of technology companies would ever choose from those few and limited products and the narrow vision of apple's eye. Sorry just don't buy it .. and i don't

It simply means that a greater majority of people are demanding simplicity, and by extension, a reduction in the amount of choices that they have to deal with. It is sad, I know, but it is true. Think about it. How often do we value convenience above all else? Is it not true that conveniences... like convenience stores, fast food, automatic car-washes, microwave ovens, instant pudding, instant oatmeal, credit cards... iPhones... are all the rage these days? When the number of choices that people have to deal with is reduced, not only have you made their decision process faster, but you have also reduced the weight of decision-making responsibility on their shoulders. This often makes people more comfortable... not because it is better, but because they need not think so much. The age of choice in our current society is coming to an end because it is simply not popular or comfortable any more. Unless more people willingly choose to have choices, and accept responsibility for establishing their own society of such, choice is on its way out. When it does go, I will be looking for a new society of freedom-to-choose to rise up in its place.
Wake up, world! Don't sleep yourself into monotonous mediochratic slavery!
37. AppleConspiracy (Posts: 630; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
Most of people aren't demanding anything. They only think that. Actually they are looking to identifiy themselves in product as a sign. And what stronger sign (in true meaning of the term "sign", the semiotic meaning of "signification") there is next to Apple?
Apple is producing signs, not actual utilitarian and instrumentalistic products. In other words, their true product is a sign, or should I say "iSign", not something material that can be measured and valuated thru its utilitarian aspects in vulgar sense of "using something to achieve something which is not using itself".
When their success would be measured by utilitarianistic approach, it would turn out that Apple is the most unsuccesful company in the world, which doesn't quite coincide with the fact that everyone buys Apple and that because of this fact they are the most valuable company in the world. In world's history actually :-)
44. bayusuputra (Posts: 941; Member since: 12 Feb 2012)
"Apple is producing signs, not actual utilitarian and instrumentalistic products."
so all of this is true, apple makes inferior products.. sell them as status symbols (signs), and not for utility (being a true computing machine)..
45. AppleConspiracy (Posts: 630; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
The final purpose of the product is not usage but sales. So they are superior, not inferior products. Notice that I refer to a "product" in contemporary, capitalistic sense, not in terms of "object" or "tool".
Apple is engineering the perception of the products - that is actually their real product. The physical object that stands for it is just a material alibi.
46. hepresearch (unregistered)
Aha! I get it... the superior product IS an inferior device... they are selling people on the ILLUSION of a superior device, which is actually inferior as a device, but this makes it a superior product because it sells well AND is cheap to make... hence, in terms of capitalistic success, it is the "best thing since sliced bread"... and not because it is actually good, but because it has such a strong illusion of being so very good while simultaneously being so sub-standard in reality. In other words, its great unimaginable success is in its epic poor-ness. Once again, the best 'reality' is the one that you build for a person who has been taught to have low expectations to begin with, and loyally chooses to be blind to actual reality, where all other options still exist...
If you teach people that making choices is hard work and uncomfortable, and you show them something simple and dumb (but 'elegant'...) that is easy to use because they are locked into a specific set of consistently repeatable choices, then they will clamour for the 'simplicity' and 'utility' you offer (without you actually having to offer them much of anything)... selling comfort and ease in a nicely wrapped-up package of an iPhone... this is the total-uber-capitalist's best dream ever!

One day, I would like to see Apple broke and down on the roads. That is the only pure joy I'd wanna have from other's loss. It won't happen until those rich fat dumbheads keep buying those damn iphones and macs.
