0. phoneArena 03 Apr 2013, 01:24 posted on

Brain White of Topeka Capital Markets has just pushed out a note to clients and no, it did not say "Out to lunch, be back at 2," what the note said is that Microsoft is going to cut the price of its Microsoft Surface RT tablets in order to compete with low priced Android tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE which recently was cut in price by $100...

they should have asked me a year before:
Windows RT = fail
Chrome OS = fail
Google TV = fail till it is merged with Android with the whole ecosystem with great remote control API but integrated in TVs
WP = smaller fail (steady 2 % but why not? :)
Windows Pro = fail (unless they cut price)
Tizen = sure fail
Web OS = great OS but was a sure fail

everyone knew it :)

It's an internet commentary forum... One may as well ask who are you to be asking him/her who they are to be asked about such things.

it seems every tablet article has to talk about resolution.......so is the resolution more important than functionality?

This is the right move. One of the main reasons Windows RT tablets bombed is that the new OS doesn't have a solid reputation yet and the exorbitant price kept most consumers from trying it out. It works with Apple because though their products are overpriced, they are already a trusted brand. Cheaper Windows tablets would help them buil a similar reputation.

Windows RT is such a failure!

Windows 8 Pro is the best Windows yet.
