Analyst: BlackBerry 10 could be a failure like the BlackBerry PlayBook

0. phoneArena 10 Dec 2012, 14:58 posted on

On Friday, we told you that institutional brokerage firm Detwiler Fenton had sent out a bearish report on RIM, and on Monday two other firms relayed their concerns about the transition to BlackBerry 10; on the other hand, one RIM bull sees the stock getting as high as $43 next year...

The Playbook was a failure for the price. I mean $499 for a wifi only 7 inch tablet.. No thank you.. The minute that price went way down, I jumped on it. Great device with a fantastic browser.

how do they know it will offer less if it hasnt been released yet? I know they are probably basing this on the Playbook launch, but Blackberry has learned a lot from that, and also the company was ran by the 2 Bozos back then, they're no longer calling the shots.

not really, BB has more loyal fans than WP..even though nokia join the WP party... they cant rise that much... very limited... a lot of people find it wierd coz of that live tiles but for me, its a unique experience that is not available to android or iOS..but WP dont have that good experience that what can BB10, android and iOS can give...

the only thing that i want to see is that i could change the background with my picture..i hate that it's only black or white (or whatever color)..thats why i think winmo is kinda better with that since it people could actually costumize or personalize their windows mobile device!

they should allow them to personalize (i dont know if the deal is still on with personalization) the UI of their

+1

they keep on saying negative..but the truth they are just insecure!

Playbook works great even without the help of a BB phone!

Overpricing is a major factor that makes bb10 fail... Playbook is an awesome device, just that most analyst don't own ones...

totally agree... if it wasnt overprice (heck im a BB fan(but not a fanboy as what nikolas address me) but no deal for a 7" tablet with $500 price tag!!!!)

the PB is now worth the money ($149 for 16GB, some even offer 64GB for $200)

analysts dont know a thing!!! they just want to say negative to keep it from being succesful!

lol...

the people here in PA are not americans...not all of them... coz most americans wants to buy an apple..celebs like iPhone..

you do know that everytime there's an iPhone launch people is willing to wait for the store to open right?!

they dont even have that advertisement...while on samsung, they use samsung note 2 on AMAs to advertise..

what this analyst is not seeing or is REFUSING to see is that blackblerry still has a great community of users that ARE going to love this new blackberry, and as time goes on ....others will too.

''Blackberry playbook is a failure'' says phone arena who reviewed the Blackberry Playbook and rated it 7 (good) and User ratings with 10/10.

what it mean by failure is that it fail to capture market..yeah its a great tablet!! one of a kind! but RIM's pricing hurts its sales...

put it this way, will you ever buy a $500 7" tablet with little apps available? versus an iPad with same pricetag but with 100,000(by that time 2010-2011) apps available?

thats why the android tablet didnt boom as well..they also offer the 7" tablet almost similar to iPad's price point, for example the HTC flyer and jetstream...very very pricey! and so is other 10" tablet out there! they cant eat iPad sales if they price themselves same with iPad!

the reason why kindle fire is a hit! the first android (even forked) to gain respectable share! thats what google is after with their new nexus line 4, 7, 10!

not to mention the HP touchpad... it was pricey but very limited and the device itself is limited (you cant use the camera to take self photos) but when HP cut down the price to $99, everybody go nuts!! it was an overnight hit!

it can..but still you need to be converted...but its easy as hell...

android devs should consider developing on BB10 too! since no re-writing is needed...even iOS and other C++ devs!
