An iPad with keyboard dock might be coming to blur the tablet boundaries, says analyst

A Citigroup analyst sat with Tim Cook last week and asked whether Apple intends to lose the Intel silicon and Mac OS X in the MacBook Air line, and replace them with ARM-based processor and iOS at some point. Apple's main man apparently answered in such a way that Mr Gardner "walked away from this meeting with the impression that Apple feels iPad satisfies - or will soon satisfy - the needs of those who might have been interested in such a product"...

An iPad Transformer. Wow ... an Apple doesn't steal ideas? Watch, they'll probably claim they were working on it all along and Asus stole it from them. :D

Nope, they'll do one better and try to patent it. Then sue ASUS for use of their technology.

Hmmm if the picture is correct then apple is again copying an existing android creation here. They will claim it as a worlds first and will be full of the 'this is incredible' speeches again at the unveiling. Brilliant innovation again here from apple, this changes everything again

When shopping for a tablet last year, I decided to get the Asus Eee Pad Transformer instead of the iPad 2 because the Eee Pad had a really good keyboard dock. There wasn't anything for the iPad at the time that was comparable to the Eee Pad Transformers keyboard dock. If there were, I would have gotten the iPad instead.
For me, a tablet without a good text input device is an incomplete product. I generally do a lot of typing on my tablet and I do not like on-screen keyboards. If Apple is coming out with a keyboard dock, then that is a step in the right direction. Maybe they would come out with an iPhone with a keyboard as well for people like me.
