some people definitely abuse texting ...almost 15,000 texts is just unnecessary.

well it depends...remember, some people use mobile IM which are counted as texts and u can use over 100 of those in just 20 minutes of conversating. the most i have ever done was 13,652(total, sent & received). t-mobile rep's were astonished! but that was the first month i got unlimited texting after 5 months of having NO texting so i guess i was overwhelmed. now I do around 9,500(total, sent and received) a month and all is well. :)

That's about how many I send a month. I do about 2,000 a week. Believe me, I was surprised to see it on my bill, so I was super happy I have unlimited.

ok well if you take away IM and it's strictly text messaging, 15,000 is ridiculous. i don't understand how someone could text that much or why they would need to.

lol yeah i calculated the 13,652 x .25 and it was like $2000.00!
10. volvo posted on 26 May 2009, 18:17 0 0
yes i agree. my 13,652 was strictly text messaging. well, idk how old u are but us kids do alot of "hey what's up-ing via text and we also reply to messages when there really is no reason too...so i guess that could be why. and unless your a business man or something yea u dont need to text that much. my friend alexxus did 18,346. sad isn't it?

who's wrong? if ur referring to me && my calculations, yes i am wrong. i didnt do the math, i just tried remembering what it was when i DID do the math back in january. the correct amount was $3,413.00

I finally figured out how to keep my parents from going through my text messages. I downloaded a program from Faketexts.com and it hides the iPhone SMS button and replaces it with a fake one that you can edit. Basically it doesn't show all the girls I am talking to just go to Faketexts.com on your iPhone.

I used 12000 received and 8000 sent last month =x But that might be because I was using Mobile IM... though I do turn it off when I'm on my PC >

I agree about the anxiety part. I text all day in class and I still maintain a 3.9gpa. but i wont be able to do this at the high school I'M going to next year. But honestly I do feel that I may become an anxious person. I get ancy when someone doesnt reply to my text right away. :{

no. i have t-mobile. but i hope to get verizon in january or february when my t-mo contract is up. why do u ask? does verizon have a text-anxiety help line?! lol jk..
14. vzw fanman posted on 26 May 2009, 22:40 0 0
the reason i ask is because you said you get ancy when someone doesn't reply. idk if tmo has this but when you send a text to a verizon person it shows that they recieved the message. but if the little checkmark (or D on blackberrys) is not there that means they didn't get the text...maybe they had no service, their phone was off or they dropped it in water etc... i wish i had a 3.9 GPA in high school haha.

um, im not sure if t-mobile has that feature. i think it doesnt, it ALWAYS says MESSAGE SENT unless i dont have service. but its possible that of all the messages i sent, the other person had signal. but i like that feature, tho people who send messages vzw2vzw who dont know about it probably think there phone is messed up. i love how verizon sends messages super quick, the mail into the mailbox animation plays twice and then its sent. on my motorola zine, it takes about 6 seconds from the time i press send to say MESSAGE SENT. it could just be GSM technology, the phone, or t-mobile. and yea im not in high school. im an eighth grader. im going to a high school with a "rigorous" curriculum so it may drop hehe :)

yeah and the software is buggy. It power cycled at least 4 times this weekend alone. It got to the point where i actually hate texting people.

what's power-cycling? ...turning off and back on for no reason?
