Amazon is looking to bring in more revenue using the Amazon Kindle Fire by charging $600,000 for space on the 7 inch tablet's Welcome Page; the $600,000 covers two months worth of ads time which shows up on every boot-up by every user of the tablet...

Hmm.. Seriously, who shuts down their tablet/cell phone devices each time they finish using it??

A lot of older tablet users do that. They believe it saves the battery, which it does to a small extent, and that it's just the right thing to do after use.

By shutting down and boot up a system will refresh the RAM.
I personally do it every few days or a week.

That is ENOUGH! Even though I wouldn't see it often, only on restart, it is enough to kill the sale I was about to complete for my daughter's birthday. It is obvious that Amazon is going to keep adding more and more ads, every chance they get. I'll just buy my daughter a real Android 4.0 tablet. That's what she wanted, anyway.
