Can't we just use 1 system? I want everything to be together!

It would be better. There comes a point when your head gets cloudy from all the different versions. I say make the move like microUSB and get at least a system that can work with each other easily and wont give consumers a headache no matter what device they buy.

Amazon's offering won't really matter to customers, because you'll just use your credit card/debit card like usual. It's just another option for merchants in accepting payments.
