Amazon offers installment plan to pay off purchases of its new top-shelf slates

When the Amazon Kindle Fire first it the market in 2011, it was right around the holiday shopping season. With its low price, the original Kindle Fire immediately challenged the Apple iPad for leadership on top of the sales charts. But that was then and this is now. Apple has a hot selling new slate in the Apple iPad Air and a recent study showed that only 5% of Americans looking to buy a tablet are planning on buying a Kindle Fire...

Ah, desperation sets in for Amazon. Good. The Fire HD was the worst piece of trash I have ever owned, and the Amazon app "outlet" is just piss poor. As someone who once sold on the Amazon Marketplace, watching them sink in at least one area is a satisfying feeling.

Jealous? I can own any tablet I want, so why would I be jealous? Amazon is a terrible company with predatory business practices who sells junk tablets.
I sold phones on Amazon as a registered seller, and the way they treat vendors is atrocious, so seeing them grasp at straws while they fail in a venture is satisfying.

Yes, you are rich and famous,,, Yet we don't care. As soon as you develop, maintain, and spend millions on your own successful website, please come back and let us know. Further, I would HARDLY call Amazon tablets a failure... you sound pretty bitter because of your failures.

Who said "rich and famous"? It's a freaking tablet purchase, not a Maserati. How daft are you?
As for failures, I sold just fine on there. In fact, better than on Flea Bay. However, at least Flea Bay, even though they have terrible fees, doesn't hold your money for 21-28 days making money off it in addition to fees like Amazon does.
And the tablet? The KFs stink, and that statement needs no defense.

Nope, the fact that they're locked out of the google play store sucks. The tablets are pretty sweet, they're cheap but pretty good spec-wise.

I don't do apps, and apparently not many do apps for Amazon.
By the way, it's "their app," for your information.

Ok ok slow down. The gentleman is welcome to hate amazon. Personally I shop there all the time and have no qualms with the business. I'm not sure I would buy a Kindle Fire as the OS is to restricting for my taste. I'm looking at getting a note tab or a nexus 10. However thats my choice. If the guy had a horrible experience as a vender so be it. There's always two sides to a story. Sorry Amazon I will not be getting your tablet, and apple u had better think again if you even crossed my mind. As it is I have to fus with my moms over priced apple tablet which she just wants me to get it working for her lol

I'm very interested in this tablet for the hardware.
Man, I would get it if only it has access to the Play Store.
