I would like to have this option on my HTC Vivid. I have paid for iCloud for my iPad 1 and 4Gen iTouch's. After abandoning my iPhone 4S because of limitations, I do miss this function.

It would be nice for Amazon or Google to offer this, because I have some old CDs with good music on them that are scratched pretty bad.

Sniggly, how can they match if the music isn't on your computer?

rip the music to the pc regardless of skipping. The song will match off the title and artist. I have a few songs that did this on iTunes matching(Skipping).

See bigdawg's comment. I would rip the music to my computer and run it through the music match service. Sorry, it WAS an incomplete comment.

What about independent music not on the major labels, but still sold on Amazon?

If they could match the books I already own, that would be cool as well, but those aren't on my computer, those are actual books, that can be held and read.
