Starting out a brand new week, AT&T customers are greeted with the refreshing call that the Samsung Galaxy S II is now finally available for purchase through the carrier, but of course, Amazon is already there to one-up the carrier in terms of pricing.

Right from the get-go, Amazon is shaving $50 off the price of the long awaited Android smartphone – thus, bringing it down to a respectable $149.99 with a 2-year contract. Yeah, it’s only $50, but that’s $50 more that you’ll have in your pockets over those who pick it up through the carrier directly. However, the most intriguing part about it all is the fact is that Amazon is offering the discounted price to all customers – both new and existing ones with qualified upgrades!

Naturally, free two-day shipping is included with the purchase, which makes the $149.99 price your only concern at checkout. If you’ve been waiting for this one, then you ought to think about Amazon’s nice offer.

AT&T store told me they wouldn't match this price or honor any warranty on Amazon GSII purchased online...

The warranty be honored by the manufacturer (Samsung), not ATT. If you need to exchange a device, the exchange is through Amazon (point of purchase) not the carrier.

Also, check Amazon's stipulation for purchasing through them - they can offer you better prices because if you terminate the contract they'll make money off of you from their own EFT plus ATT will get money from you for the ATT EFT as well.
