are you sure Kindle Fire 2 get camera, and has 1024x768 (4:3 ratio) not 1024x600 ?? or is it a mistake :D

1920x1200 on the 7'' screen, I just calculated it, it's a 323 PPI screen, on the tablet !

WOWWWWWW, over retina , is it ? apple ? haha !! AMAZINGGGGGGGG

Sadly, turns out we were a bit mislead by Amazon's murky language - the 7-inch Fire HD only has 1280x800 pixels.

Ok I get it :D I guess 7'' will be equiped with 4460, when 8.9'' with 4470

and please fix the kindle fire 2 version, it's still only have 8GB,

official here:http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Fire-LCD-Display-Wi-F i/dp/B0083Q04IQ/ref=sr_tr_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346962484 &sr=8-1&keywords=kindle+fire

guys should check the end of the page, where the official specs showed off, many version of storage to choose :D

really they just pulled an apple in the fact they really didn't change design they just made the screen better.smh still looks cool and afforable but a design tweak would have made it alot better

3. quickweevil posted on 06 Sep 2012, 14:44 2

What exactly could they tweak? Why fix it if it ain't broke?

Does the Fire HD 7 inch now have volume rocker buttons? The original Fire didn't that I could find and only use a software volume control. It was terribly annoying.

So, the 7" HD has no TI OMAP 4470 or HDMI and the LTE has no Camera and Wifi that they bragged about forever???

9. fervid posted on 06 Sep 2012, 15:37

Specs on their page shows 7" with OMAP 4460 and HDMI and the LTE Model has Camera and Wifi.

Sorry for the confusion, we were compiling this first on the murky language from Amazon's event. It's now all updated and corrected! Appreciate your feedback.

do the new kindle fires have access to the google play store out of the box?

12. MichaelHeller posted on 06 Sep 2012, 16:23 1

No, just the Amazon Appstore. No Google Apps at all, as expected, this is pure Amazon.
