Amazon has launched an app for iOS that allows Apple iPhone, Apple iPad and Apple iPod touch users to stream video from the online retailer's Instant Video service; the app covers videos purchased or rented from the Amazon Instant Video library, or those made available for free to Amazon Prime members...

No kidding. That kind of annoys me how exclusive they've been about this app, when in reality they make so much money from selling their services and product rather than their devices. I have Amazon Prime and paid $70 for it, I think I'm entitled to watch it on my phone!

yeah, where is the Android version? I pay for Amazon Prime and I'd love to watch some instant video during the commute. It only makes sense. It's like Amazon is pushing people towards Netflix.

Unfortunately, very unfortunately, I suspect no general android device phone or tablet will ever see this app, because Amazon feels it would undercut their Kindle Fire sales. So I guess all of our Amazon Prime money is down the drain. oh well
