Alltel launches Samsung SCH-A645 and Pantech PN-218

The Samsung SCH-A645 and Pantech PN-218 are now available with Alltel. The two handsets are both tri-mode CDMA/AMPS phones in clamshell design.
The A645 measures 3.54 x 1.79 x 0.94 inches (90 x 45 x 24 mm) and features an internal antenna, speakerphone and voice-activated dialing, with about 300 hours of stand-by time and up to 3.5 hours of talk-time, as claimed by the manufacturer.

The PN-218 has a stub antenna and features a speakerphone and voice-activated dialing too, but also supports CDMA 1x, GPS and has a camera with flash, with dimensions of only 2.15 x 3.02 x 0.96 inches (55 x 77 x 24 mm).

Samsung A645 and Pantech PN-218 are currently available on Alltel's website respectively at a price of $9.99 and $49.99 with a two-year contract.
