has anyone else noticed that its kind of weird on alltel's website, they have a starter kit for the droid2, i noticed this sometime in the past couple weeks and then i saw this and it jogged my memory. i went and looked again to make sure and sure enough, it's there, along with the droid x and blackberry storm and a couple of other phones, doesnt make since to me, i know verizon bought out most of alltel but the rest was contracted out to other service providers depending on the area, i enter the zip code for statesboro georgia because its the only area near me i know of with alltel left but is there any chance they might be getting the droid 2 and x? or is it just some screw up on verizons and alltels webtech part? link to accessories bundleshttp://www.shopalltel.com/accessory-bundles (enter 30459 as zip) here is the link straight to the droid2 bundlehttp://wsf2.shopalltel.com/product/product.htm?prId=37656

I thought Verizon ate Alltell last year.

They did and AT&T will eat the leftovers.

I answer calls for Alltel " I do so apoligize for ANY misinformation you may have received but Alltel has NOT been bought OUT by VZW or AT&T. A portion of Alltel was sold to VZW last year and those CX's have been tranistion last year. Another portion was sold to AT&T and they will complete their transition this year and yes those CX's will require a new handset due to CDMA tech not being compatible. Contract CX's are receiving free handsets and Prepaid will have to upgrade on their own. The rest of Alltel was purchased by ATNI which created a subsidarey AWCC that now owns the ALLTEL trademark."
