Alltel HTC Touch Pro gets 2016 SMS bug fix

Sprint HTC Touch Pro owners already received an update that fixed the nagging 2016 SMS issue. Since the beginning of the new year, certain Windows Mobile users have been reporting inaccurate timestamps with their text messages – saying it was being sent/received with the year 2016. Fortunately for Alltel HTC Touch Pro owners, they are also getting the official software hotfix to eliminate the problem. If you fall into the category of being affected by the bug, then head on over to HTC’s site to download the hotfix and follow the instructions. In addition, it will automatically be applied if you perform a hard reset on the device – so no worries of having to repeat the installation process again. So now Alltel HTC Touch Pro owners can rest at ease without being fooled by the minor, but possibly annoying, 2016 bug.
