Can't wait for the next Galaxy Nexus, the Android experience with no custom skins is unbeatable; plus the phone receives the updates as soon as they are released from Google.
Have a nice day everybody.

wish that were true... Verizon was just d*ckin around with us for so long

52. Synack posted on 25 Sep 2012, 11:09

Rooting and installing ROM's is so easy for Nexus devices now. Literally, you download a toolkit, and you go through maybe 3 steps of pressing a number and the enter key.

PRESTO CHANGE-O you have a fully rooted, unlocked, custom ROM'd Nexus in 90 seconds flat after installing the toolkit.

Its funny because that picture actually doesn't look that great. lol
But I hop they make more changes, it seems like so far it is just a little spec bump, but we will have to wait and see

44. synot posted on 25 Sep 2012, 08:38 1 1

very hypocrital and biased statement ,the photo looks very good

45. nwright94 (unregistered) posted on 25 Sep 2012, 10:09 1

I agree the picture is good but I'm not sure you understand what hypocritical means because he isn't being hypocritical at all. It means to be against something but do that same thing you're against.

59. alannyny posted on 26 Sep 2012, 02:11

I think synot was going for "hypercritical", not "hypocritical".

57. 305Bucko posted on 25 Sep 2012, 16:35

@SYNOT the picture looks terrible. Put your glasses on and have a second look. The skin tone on those feet look like a dead persons feet from the morg.

Biased? wow get another hobby, technology is not for you

48. The_Innovation posted on 25 Sep 2012, 10:48 2

Yea the original Galaxy Nexus takes better pictures than that lol.

58. nnaatthhaannx2 posted on 25 Sep 2012, 19:29

But I could honestly care less about the actual quality of the pictures, as long as it is better than before, its good enough for me. The main thing I look for in the camera is just for it to be fast and take decent pictures as a subtitute for when I don't have my real camera.

47. The_Innovation posted on 25 Sep 2012, 10:47 1

This is true. Having the latest software is the most important aspect of a phone. I'm using a Galaxy Nexus that's almost been out for a year, and I'm the only one using Jelly Bean out of all those new super phones.

54. Berzerk000 posted on 25 Sep 2012, 15:26

Not the only one, I thought the GS3 update was rolling out? You are one of few, but there are more to come

55. The_Innovation posted on 25 Sep 2012, 15:31

Well yea I know more will come, but I meant right now, and my phone is so much older.

56. Berzerk000 posted on 25 Sep 2012, 15:44

Yes, that is quite an accomplishment. Even better considering the Nexus S, being nearly 2 years old, is still getting updates. Some might argue Apple did that with the 3GS already, but the special thing about Android is that whenever you get an update, you get to take full advantage of all of the features; unlike iOS where you get a dumbed down version of it as you go further down the generations. And even then it runs pretty horribly (iOS 5 on 3GS).

The one thing that guarantees almost every phone with ICS to get Jelly Bean is Project Butter. The only excuse for the absence of Jelly Bean for any device is either OEM laziness or lack of RAM (sub-500 MB shouldn't get it).

Some people say even the iPhone 5, with its A6 chip with tri-core graphics, bland and dull iOS 6, just isn't as snappy as the Galaxy Nexus is with Jelly Bean. THAT is an accomplishment, and extends the window for updates by at least another year, which is great.

2. Jphones posted on 25 Sep 2012, 02:31 3 3

Yeah can't wait to see what everybody brings to the design table since there's no skin overlay. Should be some great phones and of course they will be showcasing new features.

3. KingKurogiii posted on 25 Sep 2012, 02:31 14

yikes...hope it'll be affordable if you know what i mean.

41. Ohrules posted on 25 Sep 2012, 08:07 2

Hey Mordecai!!! I think this phone is suit you too :)
since you are a root guy don't you think? :D

38. SuperAndroidEvo posted on 25 Sep 2012, 07:02 3

I love all Android phones because they ALL can be rooted. If I want PURE Google the next Nexus is where it's at. I am really in a tough battle for my next phone.

There are rumors of a HTC Nexus 5 & the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

If the Nexus 5 is real that will be my next phone. Pure Google with a 5" 1080p HD screen, Qualcomm's quad-core Krait S4 Pro, 1.5 to 2GB of RAM, all in HTC great build quality.

If it doesn't turn out to be true then there is the Galaxy Note II, with it's 5.5" 720p RGB Super AMOLED HD screen, The quad-core Exynos 4 @ 1.6GHz, 2GB of RAM, all in the Samsung's Galaxy S III style, which to me is VERY sexy!

The choices I have with Verizon are epic, I still haven't mentioned the LG Optimus G, or should I say the LG Blaze.

This holiday for me will be awesome! To me it's a wonderful problem that I have! lol

+1

40. wendygarett posted on 25 Sep 2012, 07:51 1

LOL Isn't rooting will void warranty?

don't you wanna rooted device without hurting warranty?

42. kartik4u98 posted on 25 Sep 2012, 08:11 2 1

But Don't buy note 2...
It's exynos and if you are a hardcore android fan you should know that ''codeworkx'' have stopped working to build CM10 for the exynos phones...(because of poor support by Samsung)..

43. ZEUS.the.thunder.god posted on 25 Sep 2012, 08:15 2

oh man these are really great choices. but after using my GNEX i only wanna buy another Nexus and that also made by Samsung. nothing against other companies but right now no one comes even close to sammy. also the Devs support for NEXUS phones is truly epic.

46. nwright94 (unregistered) posted on 25 Sep 2012, 10:13 2

I love android for the rooting capabilities too :) My iPhone 4 was completely destroyed by iOS 6 so I am now using my brothers old captivate since he upgraded to the galaxy s3. I rooted it and I'm running cm10 nightlies and its a totally new phone. Very smooth and I haven't had one force close yet. Now I am upgrading to the iPhone 5 as soon as it arrives in the mail in a few weeks, but that's mainly because its the easiest way to keep in touch with my parents through facetime. I love both OS's but androids customization ability is a big winner over iOS.

50. MobileCaseReview posted on 25 Sep 2012, 10:54 1

Yeah, I hear you Super. I'm going banana's with impatience. I'm very tempted to say good bye to my note (rooted with some liquid smooth jelly bean - thanks ManelScout from XDA). But if any of the google phones have a 5 inch screen, it's an instant sale for me. I hope it's true about the HTC!

7. nexusSUCKS (banned) posted on 25 Sep 2012, 02:39 1 10

android had 1 up when it did FLASH but now that they did away with it... there is no way it is the best. Android is a heavy and clunky OS. I mean if the Iphone had hardware like any of the android flagship WOW. But the thing is it doesn't need it and yet still smokes every android out. And yes I am sure IN THE FUTURE there will be a new andriod that will beat it but will again need insane hardware

18. whysoserious posted on 25 Sep 2012, 03:12 3 1

Who cares about what hardware we get on our android? As long as the price doesn't go as steep as the iPhone's, it's always good for the consumers like us. And how does the iPhone 5 smokes any other Android flagship out there? The new iMap that totally sucks? The new iSight camera that's made by Sony just like any other Samsung camera? Or perhaps the "superb build quality" that is so superb, the coating chips away right before it even comes out of the box?

28. Birds posted on 25 Sep 2012, 05:12

No, but I see he loves k-pop.

33. whysoserious posted on 25 Sep 2012, 06:23

ANOTHER new login, Taco?

35. structureman116 posted on 25 Sep 2012, 06:47 4 1

nexusSUCKS, you are full of $**t...An Android phone with Gingerbread will walk an iphone. Apple continues to release a inferior product year after year. Apple is only just now implementing ideas on their crap-phones that have been on Android phones for 2+ years. My Moto Droid 2 was better than the criphone 5.

49. The_Innovation posted on 25 Sep 2012, 10:51

Obviously you're the one smoking on something. Android is a heavy and clunky OS? Why? Because it has an infinite ways to let you customize your phone? From setting default apps, to widgets. These are only the simplest features that your iPhone won't add to their ancient iOS that's been the same going on 6 years now. iOS is an embarrassment. How much can you get milked before you realize that these people keep giving you the same thing over and over?

53. MobileCaseReview posted on 25 Sep 2012, 11:51 1

Man, I love the iPhone, and used to be a hardcore iphone user. Even formally involved on the side of development with Jailbreaking. But Jelly Bean is no where near heavy and clunky. It has come a long way and IMO the superior OS. Very polished and just as responsive as iOS. But to compare both OS is like comparing PC and Mac's. There's no comparison. Windows 8 is a completely different animal then Mountain Lion. Definitely educate yourself quite a bit before throwing out claims. iOS 6 and Jelly Bean have different purposes as OS and meet users differently. Just saying.

27. wendygarett posted on 25 Sep 2012, 04:10

i think the picture is good considering the fact that the resolution is 528 x 672....i guess that is the resolution...forgive me if im wrong though.

32. kshell1 posted on 25 Sep 2012, 06:09

Apparently Google is keeping samsing for the main Nexus phone until the future at some point.

39. Luuthian posted on 25 Sep 2012, 07:26

Based on the rumors surrounding this device, it hardly sounds very stunning. Only a seriously weak follow up to the original. I love my GNex and I'll probably buy another Nexus... But I'm hoping it'll be a Sony or HTC Nexus that actually has some power and decent build quality.

51. imkyle posted on 25 Sep 2012, 10:58

I'm really curious to see what processor they use.
