Other than the sideways battery icon, the status bar looks identical to my old Droid Incredible. What are you basing that on, the color or the battery icon? Seriously the status bar looks like every cell phone I've ever seen, Android, iOS, and Windows.

That wallpaper looks nothing like a WP screen, it just shares a tile based approach. These people see anything remotely related to WP and they say it's copied. But, we have these people on every platform be it Android, iOS or WP.

So they finally realized that the original HTC One had horrible button placement and went back to the 3 button set up. Haha wtf were they thinking when they put the home button on the right. Lol

What was even funnier was that I had to wait an entire month for them to fix the back button sensitivity issue. Talk about a s**tty company. And they wonder why Samsung outsells them handily. No, its not marketing.

This looks beautiful. It's glowing. I like the transparent on screen buttons, so the screen space can still get used. The wifi icon is also looking nice.

Smaller camera eye on the back is the same big camera eye just cropped and resized. Also home screen taken from @evleaks and just pasted on.

Its rather interesting how so many Android-leaning fans bashed and hated the tile approach Microsoft took but are now praising every instance of a tile-based UI that comes to Android, HTC, Samsung etc.

This looks way better than what ms offers...and still customizable since it can be removed and altered to your hearts content. Ah...the beauty of Android :-) Glad to see htc is taking Google's advice and adopting the on screen buttons. Bring it on htc.

That might be blinkfeed. Anyhow, the only part that looks like windows is the colored tile on top. The rest of it looks like flipboard.

I still don't like it, and I don't like this either, which is why I didn't go with the original HTC One.

The way I look at the differences between the 3 major OSs is this. If you go Apple, you get a grid of apps on the home screen, if you go with Windows, you get a grid of live tiles (active widgets) on the home screen or nothing at all, and if you go with Android, you have a choice between apps, widgets, or nothing at all.

So as far as customization goes, from most to least, it would be Android, Windows, and iOS. Which is why I chose Android. If that changes, so may my choice.

This is not a while ui based on tiles ever heard of blinkfeed, and u can't disable it of you want but it still has the android experience

Blinkfeed CAN be disabled if you so choose. You can also add any custom launcher and make it look as fancy or basic as a Google Experience Nexus 5.

Please do not speak out of your a*s!!!

Complete and utter BS, typical fanboy response to say "well they copied you but they did it better". The imitation is never as good as the real thing, how does it look better its basically a clone, however the old school Icons at the bottom takes away from the consistency of the Tiled homescreen, its not as consistent as WP, its not as productive cause you can't resize them and with WP you can change up to 20 different colors for Tiles etc, WP is way more dynamic.

That's just Blinkfeed, a widget that is a minor piece of the UI. You're going to base your claims of imitation on that single widget? Ridiculous. It's just a news feed that only occupies one homescreen (unless you remove it), while the rest remain typical to the Android UI.

"Complete and utter BS, typical fanboy response to say" that any tile UI is copying WP.

It really doesn't matter what HTC does. The beauty of Android is that almost anything can be changed.

Every smartphone OS can be customized in some way or the other, some more than others. The point I was making is that even though Android can be customized, HTC Blinkfeed and Samsung Magazine UX are making WP like Tiles their default homescreen.

They could go with Stock Android or some other type launcher instead they are using WP influenced Tiles as their default homescreen.

Htc, please no 2 holes for camera. I prefer a single camera better than 4up of htc one. 2 would look really odd and wouldn't be my cup of tea at all. Please o please dont go for that back case leaks with "2" wholes for a twin sensor or some say upper one is for the fingerprint scanner. I dont want a fingerprint scanner if the upper one is the scanner. Pleaseeee!

I think this image is totally photo-shopped if u look close you’ll notice, only the content in the background has been blurred-out, and the quick launch bar and Android buttons are unblurred on top of it. You can even see doubling-up along the edges of some, where the borders between the new and old icons don’t precisely match.......
