Of course, there was a bunch of new software that also got some limelight, like the new iPhoto app, and the updated versions of iMovie, GarageBand and iWork. Its obvious to me, they intend for everyone to change the name of their iFad 2 to iFad Classic, with a little swoosh below it! See, simple, as in simplton.

Again I say...

It’s getting tiresome listening to everyone complaining that Apple didn’t blow their minds with the iPad 3. We can’t expect Apple to revolutionize their products with every version they release…. Android devices are the same… Their new models are just an upgrade from existing.

The iPad 3 is a great step up from the current model. It regains its spot as the tablet to beat in both design and technology. Let’s face it folks… no one cares about Android tablets.. this is why they all fail (Can you say XOOM)!
Please don’t get me wrong… I don’t think devises using Android are bad products. I just like iOS better and I like the quality of materials Apple uses.

Now before you all call me an iSheep and worse... I know technology. I am a Systems Analyst and have used Android... Blackberry... and iOS at the same time. They all have their flaws. This comment is simply an opinion and open to debate.

Your gonna bring up the Xoom when that was iPad 2 times Technology moves on if you haven't notice yuor iPad 3 caertainly isn't staying at Dual core, I mean ya the resoloution is better but what's the point without a fast chip to help it out. 5MP everyones gonna make a huge deal about it when they already have and android 8MP camera F2.2 Aperature and LED Flash. And duh there supposed to "revoloutionize' there product they talk about it with every damn apple product. Comming from Asus Transformer Prime user

dude the A5x is going to be the fastest chip available when it is released. not for long, but still.

the "new ipad" did fail on the camera. and battery life isnt improved, but the LTE drain is gone.

the new ipad is going to be the best tablet on the market for a while. i prefer android. and i dont have a small fortune to waste on technology. im waiting on the next gen of $200 tabs or padfone, whichever comes first.

the new ipad 3 is a great device, but it isnt for me. and it is a marginal update.

the $100 price drop on the ipad 2 was bogus. it should have at least been a $150 cut, but apple couldve afforded dropping it down to $250 to compete with the kindle fire and next nexus tab.

it is faster than the tegra 3 which is the fastest chip available on the market.

and the new ipad is coming out in 9 days, much sooner than any competing silicon.

But nothing is proved yet ! So if they told you that iPhone 4 has a faster processor than GS2 you will believe them ?You believe in one presentation which says that Apple a5 and a5x are faster than Tegra 3 ( NOT TRUE) ? And actually Tegra 2 is 3x faster than a5 ! LOL ! And also you expect dual-core processor to be faster than QUAD-CORE !THIS CHIP A5X IS NOT RELEASED AND WE DONT KNOW WHAT'IT CAN DO ! Also why there is no benchmark apps for iDevices ( May be because apple don't want we to know the REAL power of their processors )

in graphics performance both the a5 and a5x are more powerful than the tegra 3. the most powerful gpu on the market is the powervr 543, the a5 has a dual core version and the a5x has a quad core. tegra 3 squashes both on cpu tasks but the a5x behind ios is going to be the smoothest experience on the market.

and there are no benchmark apps on ios because apple controls the app store. duh. there are web based benchmarks.

and kill the caps, its annoying as f#@k

Have you actually used one of the toy droidblet cameras? They make a disposable camera look good. The iPhone and iPad cameras use real lenses, not cheap toys and blow away any picture taken by a droidblet.

In case you can't read, the new iPad has a much faster quad GPU - the GPU is what drives the high res screen. If you don't know what a GPU is, go ask mommy or daddy.

I will admit Android tablets are lacking compared to iPad's because they have not been developed enough in the OS category and over diversified with too many tablets, and a good portion of lacking in quality. Android's do much better in the phone market because the OS is phenomenal and its diversified enough.

Apple can continue to try their "monopolizing tactics", but in the end they are going to lose performance-wise because they only evolve at steady rate which is under consumer expectations while Androids have enough brands to throughout new, high-end phones and tablets almost every month.

As a computer science major, I have to keep up with the latest technology because I will be designing them one day. the iPad had to involve LTE because of the growing demand from both Verizon and AT&T........however, Id thought that theyd add more than what they already had from the iPad 2. The problem with both AT&T and Verizon is that they have tiered data plans which means that Wi-Fi will be more important to those that are using this for NetFlix, HBO GO, Hulu Plus, and more

Seems to me that technology might have hit its limit.....for now

the quality? oh jeez. dont get me started on apple and quality. Perhaps on the iphone 3g in terms of build, but then again define quality (reception, battery life?)

IOS is a better operating system? you must be outta your mind man. IOS is a linear piece of garbage with limited capability (where are my widgets?!!). Windows phone and Android have much better lay outs and functionality, along with stability

as of right now yes they will have the best chip in their "new Ipad" but from benchmarks it's not that much faster. This to me is sad. A new product that barely goes above a chip that has been released for some time? When releasing a new product you want to be an extra step ahead, not just by a thread. I look forward to see what Windows or Android tablets have in benchmarks to smoke this "new device"

I wont call you a sheep, but i would dare to call you uneducated with such bold statements

Only good thing about apple is the market ENOUGH said...

their devices are toys

Tegra 3 handles 2gigs of RAM while ipad FINALLY got up to 1 gig

Tegra 3 is all around better while IOS is simplier code and dousnt need the best hardware to function quickly

speed is relative to the user too

just shut up apple ur hardware is not your strong point..... gah they are just herding all their sheeple.....

Bought it already. Why? Because there just isn't anything as good on the market for what I need. And let's face it...if you need a tablet, you buy Something Else because you can't afford an iPad or you work for Amazon. (Do they give employee discounts? Hm.)

Whatever, call me a sheep. It seems to me that the nitpickers are like the nerds that say they don't like the hot chick because she doesn't play Skyrim. (You did, didn't you?) What else have you got? Nothing. When there is an actual, decent, honest to God competitor to the iPad then there will be a discussion. Until then, Apple owns the day. Again.

i would take a transformer prime over an ipad any day. The Tegra 3 processor is barely behind the ax5 chip in benchmark tests for less cost.

i also have the option for an expandable keyboard that acts as a battery pack.

have fun paying for all your apps.

sheep? i wont go that far, but ignorant....most def

you are an idiot. 10.1 inch android tabs cost just as much as ipads, so what you said is irrelevant.

The "revolutionary" new ipad should be more like the "evolutionary" all it is is the next logical step in development for the product line. I praise apple for their well built products but at the same time they never push beyond what others already can do today. I would like to see more of a leap forward from them instead of small money making steps. If android's ICS keeps up with their promises then the new tegra 3's will give this pad a run for it's money.

its simply the culture that runs apple... end of story.. at this point.. its no more or less than an religion, or a following.. people buy these products to assimilate themselves into this sub-culture... no apple user is unique... all peas in the same pod.
